Jessica Tenbrook: I loved this item! So much! I was really upset to find that after having it for a year, the two little L shaped pieces that hold the bar when the chair is opened were bent when a 150lb boy sat on it. Since they bent, when you sit on it, the chair will randomly fall down if you make one wrong move. So, I have just been using it like that until the other day I tried bending them back and the metal snapped! The pieces look replaceable because the metal piece they were attached to unscrews from underneath the chair. Can someone get back to me on how I get ahold of the seller and see if I can order the parts?

John: I had this stool for about a year and one month.

Is the padding comfortable? No. I purchased a seat cusion and it made things tolerable.

Is this product sturdy? Yes, for the most part. I had no complications with it in the time that I had it. Except that an hour ago or so the stool collasped on me. Thankfully I did not have a fork in my mouth and didn't have any sharp objects near me or else things might have been gruesome. I just checked out some more reviews and others have had the same issue that I had.

I want to give this product a 2 or3 stars since the end of my time with it did end in a disaster, but since it proved effective for a year and a month, I'll be giving it a four stars.

P.S. I currently weigh 244lbs. I do not know what the weight limit for this stool is but throughout my possession of this product my weight has ranged from 220lbs to 245lbs.

Pretty impressed overall. I was looking at stools and benches in the $80-120 range, but this $29 alternative did the job well. It's light, very well-constructed for the price, requires no setup other than height adjustment, and is pretty comfortable. I was lucky to spot it on Amazon before ordering something for multiples of the price.
The seller is even more impressive. The bench arrived, very well packed, 3 days after ordering, despite having to travel 4500 miles. It shipped almost immediately. It included cards with contact #s for problems, including a hand-written note from the owner with a direct phone #. And a photo of all the employees! THey also donate part of the proceeds of every sale to charity.
Really, this order was a pleasure. I'd buy again from these guys in a second.

Marty P.: I'm a pro guitarist & singer with bad sciatica & arthritis in both legs, so for me to stand while I play isn't possible. (I just do a solo performance, not with a band). I carry my amp, guitar, microphone & cables on a small pull cart from my car to the venue I'm playing, and in the past always had to ask one of the staff to provide me with a chair so I could sit & play comfortably. Sometimes they'd forget, so I started looking for something inexpensive that folded up to make transport easy & quick. This little portable X seat is just right. The plastic knob that tightens the frame comes loose a lot, so you have to keep an eye on it to be sure you don't lose it. So far, no complaints.

Robert L. FishellRobert L. Fishell: I play keyboards, but that's not why I bought this. I needed a lightweight, comfortable stool for my workshop, and this does the job nicely. It's just the right size, easy to set up, and far more comfortable and stable than the rickety step stool I'd been using. The height adjustment is just right for the work I do, and it's very light and portable.

I took off one star because the rubber feet on the bottom of the stool became dislodged easily, and I was always chasing them around the floor when I had to move the stool. I solved the problem with a little rubber tape. It also tended to fold up when I didn't want it to because the C-shaped clips under the seat didn't grip the upper supports tightly enough. I solved this problem with a few whacks from a rubber mallet. Now that I have it shipshape, it's a great shop stool.

rafaelrafael: Compré éste banco porque tiene 3 niveles de altura y mi hija que es un poco baja de estatura los bancos normales le quedan un poco altos. Me parece que cumple con lo necesario, es cómodo, ligero, portátil y fácil de guardar. No le pongo 5 estrellas porque aunque se ve resistente trae un defecto en el plástico que a la larga no se si se vaya a hacer más grande. Por lo demás si lo recomiendo.
