LornaLorna:
I have these shoes that are in good shape but the insert fell apart. These shoes also never really had enough arch support.
These make a HUGE difference in the fit and comfort.

Jennifer R Weber: These are the best inserts I've tried so far. One thing to remember about all inserts like this is they are not cushiony, they are meant to provide arch support and relieve pain. These do that job very well and I can get a good walk in with them, 2 miles so far and they kept my feet from hurting. Definitely recommend these.

Roger R.:
I'm an 80 year-old male walker. I walk, now, 2-3 miles a day, for health and sanity.
A few years ago, the bottoms of my feet started hurting, even with new shoes. I've gone through many brands and models. My favorite was the old, original New Balance 928 but NB outsourced makers and they never were the same after. I've tried LL Bean, SAS, Ortho, I can't remember them all.
Then, I decided to try Dr. Scholl orthotics for cushioning. That didn't work. I tried Dr. Scholl ortho for plantar fascitis after doing some research and they didn't work. They even hurt. Then I got this Physix. It was painful. The Co. suggested easing in/breaking in using them but after about a 1/4 mile I gave up on them. I tried the Dr. Scholl again in another shoe, my SAS Journey, a rather stiff shoe til broken in, and it felt great. As I walked, it got even better. The Dr. Scholl is not as hard or as radical an arch as the Physix. After 2.5 miles my feet did not hurt as they did with the original Journey insole. I don't use two insoles in a shoe at a time. BTW, I think the SAS Journey and their Time Out are excellent shoes, very well made. I hope they don't change...

ATL:
As a rule of thumb (or so I've been told) for effective orthotics, if the shoe insert can be bent at the arch, they are not supportive enough to correct the foot.
Product Considerations / Comparison:
If you need strong arch support and are debating between to two highest rated shoe inserts on Amazon (which both are not flexible, which is a good thing), I would recommend the Physix Gear. I bought both at the same time to compare and the WalkHero's arch didn't provide enough arch support for my flat feet. You could see the crease at the underside of the arch area after I tried them, implying that the support probably wouldn't withstand the test of time. I did not have this issue with the Physic Gear. However, I will say that the cushion comfort of WalkHero exceed that of the Physix Gear if that is a concern for you. The Physic Gear cushioning is very minimal, almost non existent. Unfortunately, both orthotics fit poorly in my casual streetwear shoes (e.g. Converses / Keds) since women's shoes tend to be on the narrow side but fit perfectly into my sneakers (Ultraboost). Tip: make sure to remove the shoe's existing insert first, if any. That's something to...
