"PETNOZ Beach Tent: Enjoy Sun Protection and Shelter at the Beach"

KGriff: So we hit the Florida Panama City Beach on yellow and red flag days. It was quite windy. And this was our first time using the canopy. So there was a learning curve. The wind brought it down a few times. But after a day or two I figured it out! As it suggests, you need to bury the sand bags in the sand… DEEP in the sand. If you just bury the sands bags surface deep, yeah it’s not going to stay up on red or even yellow flag days. If you bury the sand bags deep enough that you cannot even see the sand bags, well then all I can say is the canopy stayed up for us after doing that. Now the canopy was rocking and rolling and I was fully expecting it to come down, but it never did after I buried the sand bags deep enough. There were wind gusts that made the canopy smack me on the top of my head while I was sitting in a chair under the canopy. But it didn’t come down.

We were one of just a few with this style canopy. All the others were the according type that are big an bulky and would be a pain to carry down to the beach. Now those mostly held up well. Although one right next to us went from right side up to on its top in like half a second. And it would have kept rolling...

jnapcruz: I bought this during the prime days in June to use for a week long beach trip. We loved everything about it. We compared it to another brand which my brother bought from amazon as well. A brand that starts with Sun and ends with Ninja. We all agreed that the petnoz was a little better in particular what makes is better are the spikes and the loops that are sewn into the sand pockets. this helps further secure the tent and also helps in not filling the bags with soooo much sand. it's an extra step but setting up the petnoz was less cumbersome with the spikes than was the sun N*nj@.

My only issue is the carrying case. The ninja has a much sturdier bag made of very thick canvas and it feels like something that will last a very long time. The petnoz on the other hand, started to come apart within days of using it. Not wanting to return it just because the bag is broken, I sent an email to petnoz. To this day, I'm still waiting on their reply and now I can no longer return it. I will keep using it of course but a company that stands by their product would have emailed my back to try and remedy the issue.

Alex RobinsonAlex Robinson: Got this on a whim before a big beach weekend and I'm incredibly glad I did.

PROS: Super compact. It's about the size of a small tent when it's folded up. When it's time to bust it out and set it up, it takes about 5-6mins. I had a friend helping me at the beach, but when I set it up in the park a few weeks later, I did it myself in about 7-8mins. The point is: It's easy to set up.

Once it's up, it's a game-changer. It created a ton of shade for 6 of us at the beach and just kinda waved in the wind whenever a gust came by....fill the sandbags all the way up and this thing won't budge. You'll have to mess around with placement of the poles and bags, but once it's all good, you'll know. When it was time to go, I packed it down within 3 minutes or so. Oh yeah, the bungees. BUNGEE THE POLES AFTER SETTING IT UP. This basically fortifies your shadefort and ensures the only thing you'll be thinking about is what kind of drink to pour next.

It's also KINDA waterproof. When I was at the park, it started to drizzle. It probably lightly rained for aout two hours on and off and we were just fine under it. However, once I had to take it down, it was pretty dang wet...which...

Janell: First impression of the canopy, easy to carry and very light weight carrying to the beach. Then it came time to set up and it was a windy day. We could not get it to stand up at all. My other half became very frustrated, but does easily anyway. He says pack it up, it’s junk send it back. Of course I started the return and was prepared to send it back when we returned home. After being at the beach for the week we ended up seeing several of these set up on the beach and withstanding the winds. My other half said there was just several things that we could have done differently and we should keep the canopy. He loves how light weight it was and when packing several itmes to the beach this canopy would be so much easier. After reading many other reviews while at the beach we now see that we could have done it easily had he not gotten so frustrated easily. Needless to say I have canceled the return and we look forward to using it the next time we go to the beach.
