Electric Eye: I used this about a year ago, & while it sprouted well it contains fescue seeds.......not mentioned in product listing. This may not bother most people but I wanted full rye lawn. Fescue tends to grow faster & spread. Now I have to try to eradicate it or start over.

Jeff: I've now used three bags of this seed and have been amazed by it's growth. Within one week you see shoots, and after three weeks you can walk on it. Make sure to follow the guidelines for usage and you will not be disappointed. Keeping it well watered during germination is a good tip for this seed.

Jay Swanstrom: Due to cooler weather it took 12 days to germinate, but now it is thick and lush even in heavy shade. Next season I will use this on my whole yard. As to anyone having difficulties, Read the instructions!

LiveWithTech: Ordered this for new seeding for my small area of grass but had to return it since later analyzing of the area seemed that I needed a big bag. I had to sow that same day and hence drove and bought the same product bigger packet from lowes. Grass came out pretty well. It's full grown green in like 3 weeks. Seeds germinated within 2 weeks itself. These seeds are really good. Recommended for the winter season. 3 lb might be enough for overseeding a small area but still, you should buy a bigger bag since sometimes you need to fill patches after seeing germination progress.
