Kale: This manual 'coffee' grinder is the first one i have had, and since using it to grind cloves, have found that gripping it firmly to hold it down becomes very wearying on the muscles of the hand. The rubber or silicone ring underneath, helps, but despite results seen in the jar, the effort to get there is so tiring on the poor hand. And speaking of results; at times, when turning the handle, there is no evidence of the fruit of one's labour. So you lift off the lid and push the grains (whatever) into the grinder area and proceed, yet still there is only fits and starts of the grinded produce. Still, it is a good grinder if you can bear the points mentioned.

Jarikku: It's a cheap grinder, that does the job. However, the build quality is mediocre being mostly plastic. The biggest problem is the plastic crank knob that's attached by rivet. The rivet broke after 8 months of using this as our full-time grinder. It's easily fixed with an appropriately sized bolt, washer and jam nut combo. If you're not capable or interested in this level of handymanship, don't get this grinder. It's unusable without the knob and likely to break with full-time usage.
Adjusting is a pain, but similar to all grinders of this type/configuration. I use a ruler to measure the length of the shaft to quickly set the grind type. We use a French Press and a Pour Over, so we change the grind often.

Mr. Knox: As you probably know, the advantage of a little burr grinder like this is that it grinds coffee beans into any desired coarseness without smashing them to dust and creating a lot of aroma-wasting heat while doing this.
The disadvantage is that it takes a bit of time, but it reminds me of how we used to grind coffee 45 years ago (wish we had kept that grinder!) and doesn't bother me much. It's a bit like meditation, listening to the gentle crashing and breathing in the aroma.
One can dial in the grade from dust to small grains. I tend to grind it on the finer side for my moka pot. Too fine and it takes near forever, and starts to warp the moka filter plate. About 2 notches up it is pretty perfect.
Comes with two attractive little glass containers, a rubber base for one of them to keep the clatter down, as well as a little cleaning brush.
Hoping for gravel free coffee beans and a long happy grind.
Update a year+ later - still like it a lot. My super-auto broke, and I am getting a cheaper manual espresso maker, so this thing will now see daily use. Looks like the price has dropped... in for a spare.

Amazon Customer: It's a simple manual coffee grinder made in China. You'll see a few of them out there with different seller names but the core components of grinder, dual jars, and a cleaning brush, are pretty consistent among the different kits. This one was the best priced one I could find and the only thing it didn't have that some others did was a scoop. That didn't bother me at all as I have plenty of spoons I can use for my coffee grinds. I normally get pre-ground coffee, but we got a few packs of beans as a gift so I picked this one up to give us the capacity to occasionally mash up the beans when needed. I also liked the idea of being able to do this without having to plug another device into an outlet.
All right, so Amazon was great, shipped it in a day, and the box included everything that was advertised. You get two jars that can screw one at a time into a grinding assembly that combines a bean holder, burr grinder, and a handle. You adjust the depth of the burr to control the coarseness of the grinds, put coffee beans into the bean holder that's integrated into the device, put a silicone lid over the beans to keep them in place, and affix a handle to the whole thing with a...

Tony: I bought this one because I could not stand the sound of the electric one. This one is very nice although I do have to spend time cranking it. If you don't mind spending a little energy end time it makes wonderful ground coffee and the hopper is big enough that you can leave some beans in there and you only have to refill it every few days.

Chris Witlox: After reviewing and debating and comparing all of the "reasonably-priced" (less than $30) manual coffee grinders, I ultimately decided upon this one. Darn good decision. This grinder is inexpensive, so easy to use, and quick to grind the coffee you need (I was worried that it would take a long time to use, but I was able to grind enough for 8 cups in less than 3 minutes - and I like my coffee strong, so that's a lot of beans!). It comes with 2 jars, and it is so easy to wash. I initially ground to an espresso size for my Aeropress, then it only took about 10 seconds to change the grind settings, and ground some beans for my coffeemaker. Fresh ground beans are ideal, and this coffee mill makes the process quiet, easy, and clean. Highly recommended!
