Tim Moffatt: I typically buy mylar from PackfreshUSA direct from them. I was happy to see them on Amazon so I wouldn't have to pay additional shipping costs. I love this company! However, these bags are thinner than I usually purchase. They will be good for items I don't have to worry about puncturing the bags, but for future, I will go back to direct purchase from the company so I know I will get the 7mil bags.

Action25Action25: Although these weren’t the cheapest model out there, I purchased these because of the company’s description of the quality of the product. I’m so glad I did! I have a friend that bought a cheaper product and those bags tore instantly, while these ones had no issues.

The bags are made with a little extra room at the top so they seal easy, and you can be sure to get your full quart of contents inside. The oxygen absorbers come prepackaged in bags of 10, making it easy to store and save extras. The bags are sealed and packaged in packs of 25, and have a nice tear alway tab for when it’s time to open it up.

Overall I’m very happy with the thoughtfulness and quality craftsmenship behind the product, and would highly recommend!

Amazon Customer: These work great! I love that they come in a nice kit w/ bags and oxygen absorbers together, and it is really smart that they pre-package the oxygen absorbers in packs of 10, so you don't have to worry about wasting them if you don't use them all at once, or trying to find an alternate method of storing your left over absorbers. The pre-made tear notches are great too, makes opening the bags really easy. I sealed with a foodsaver using the "seal only" mode. Note: these mylar bags (like most) won't vacuum seal very easy due to the completely smooth interior of the bag - lots of tricks to get them to vacuum seal on the internet, but remember if you are using the right amount of oxygen absorber, you likely don't have to vacuum all the air out first. Quart size bags are slightly larger than a quart, which allows you to put an actual quart worth of food inside, and still be able to seal it, which is awesome.

They sealed just fine with a foodsaver on seal only mode - following some advice from a youtube video, I double sealed the opening, but I am not sure that was necessary, as there was no air leak after the first seal. Easy instructions come with it - read...

MindfullyParentingMindfullyParenting: This is my second batch of Mylar bags. The first was a different brand. I was very hesitant to order these because of the reviews on how thin they were.

They came nicely packaged and with a lovely bonus. A print out explaining in detail how the bags and oxegen obsorbers worked.

Yes the bags were see through which frightened me, but this is addressed in their print out. I found it satisfactory.

I used the bags to store wheat berries and pinto beans, then sealed them right away with my hot iron. After about 12 hours I got a beautiful vacuum sealed look.

I have since purchased more in gallon sized (although quart is better for my needs.)

Pro's- Good company
Individually sealed oxygen obsorbers in 10 packs
Value and quality combined
Cons- The thin see through-ness can SEEM intimidating (but scientifically does NOT compromise proformance)

Final thought:
Will be a repeat customer
