DL: I have used this product for years. I don't understand why they didn't last in the supermarkets which is where I used to buy them. I am very glad that they are still available through Amazon. I have also used another brand of microwave steaming bags, but they are not as sturdy as these Ziploc bags, which I use for steaming all types of vegetables, fruit, and even for some fish recipes. There used to be easily accessible recipes for these bags online but they may be hard to find now. However, there is a guide printed on each bag indicating how many minutes are required on average to cook various items. As I have gotten older, cooking has become more and more of a chore so knowing I can rely on an easy, and completely disposable, way of preparing some part of a meal is a definite benefit.
