OxyLED Motion-Activated LED Strip Lights for Closets and Cabinets

JC309ATL: It installed easily. The light is detachable from a magnetic strip with adhesive backing. Light is okay but not as good a wired LED system. Light is dimmable but it isn’t very bright to begin with, from sort of bright to hardly noticeable.

But it burns through AAA batteries in a matter of days. I’ve used good name-brand batteries and it still eats them for lunch. A couple of times I accidentally left it on for several hours and that contributed to the battery loss but still.

I think I’ll toss this out and look at a wired LED light for my bookshelf.

Maggie: Nice light! Very bright and useful!
Although, I ordered it for my father, he found the product and thought the WHOLE light was touch sensitive, but when he learned it was just the little power symbol, he was disappointed. I haven’t personally read the description, I just placed the order, installed it, and have been enjoying it. Other than that minor setback, it’s a very nice product, easy installation, and the magnet feature so it becomes like a flashlight is so nice!!

Bennn52: I used the supplied tape to place on the back of drawers they stay in place and light the drawer very well,worth the cost for the amount of light.

JS: Too small for under counter lighting. Went through batteries too quickly. Only about 6" long so not what you think.

UPDATE - Customer Service reached out and offered to fix my issue. I receiver an newer upgrade that was longer and rechargeable. We'll see how that one lasts, but you have ro appreciate good customer service.

stormcat: This little light is great with 1 caveat
This little guy puts out lots of light is super touch sensitive and adjustable
The one issue I and many other reviewers have had is that it the magnet comes loose from the tape attached to it causing the whole unit to fall off
My assumption is that the tape used is poor quality. When the magnet fell off the tape it left the sticky part behind I simply applied another strip of duck brand double stick (mounting) tape directly to the existing sticky on the magnet and haven't had a problem since.....even with this one very minor flaw at this asking price it's a steal

Just Laura: I noticed there are several different models being reviewed here. I got the one that is battery-powered (not rechargeable) and has a touch-sensor (not motion sensor). It doesn't turn itself on or off, but it does dim or brighten when you touch and hold the power switch. Also, it's really easy to hit that switch even if you don't mean to, since it is a sensitive touch sensor, which means, depending on where it's mounted, you might inadvertently turn it on or off or dim or brighten it.

At its brightest, it is quite bright (a cool white, not warm, if that is important to you), and at its dimmest, it would make a fine nightlight (perhaps a tiny bit brighter than I typically like my nightlights, but not bad at all).

It comes with a stick-on magnetic strip for mounting. You peel the paper to expose the sticky side and attach that to a clean, smooth surface, then the light adheres to the magnet side. The sticky side might not stick well to a surface that's not completely smooth and clean, but the magnet adheres strongly to the light.
