XuanpablueXuanpablue: This Oster Wafflemaker is well-built and sturdy all around except at the bottom; the base is made out of thin plastic that feels like it could crack easily. Other than that, I love this appliance.

The instructions in the manual seem very basic and in some cases vage. But once you get the idea of how this Wafflemaker works, it's pretty easy to get perfect waffles everytime.

The secret to using this vertical beauty is in the waffle mix you use. Make it too liquid and it might take forever to cook. Make it too thick, and it might get stuck on it's way down the hot pouring top.

So follow closely the recipes provided in the manual and you'll be alright. Add too much baking powder and you'll be in for a mess; add too little, and you'll get half a waffle. It's hit and miss at the beginning. But my first waffle was pretty alright.

The device runs ver hot at the top and on the steels sides, so be careful when handling it. Make sure you don't use thin, inappropriate extrusión cords as they might blow up. I blew one that short-circuited on me, so I know. This bad boy draws lots of juice from the outlet.

Centurion: Weird. Pour from the top and very hot. Once used and figure why there is a cup with it, it works great. Problems: do not touch the pouring opening because it is metal and gets hot, and the cup does not have a fill line, so it is a guessing process. Once over these problems the waffles come out perfect. Use the recipe provided in the instructions, it makes fantastic waffles. Stores great, too. Love it. 👏

Randman: Impressively simple, very easy to fill - bake - remove - clean up is a breeze. This unit is also easy to store when finished and cooled. After reading about the traditional flat waffle irons, I wanted to try this new vertical type. It has been a good choice for an occasional waffle for eating or freezing! This would make a great space saver and gift for most anyone who wants a Belgian waffle that is easy to use.
