Richard: This is my second oyster griddle. They are amazing. I think a griddle is a very important part of my kitchen appliance lineup. I use it at least once a week it works great and it's very easy to clean. Here's a hint do not overheat it or things will burn on it and it will be very hard to clean and may discolor. The non-stick works perfectly. It is super easy to clean. Here is another hint if you have any hard spots that don't easily wipe off wet a washcloth and lay it on it for a few minutes and then come back and it will wipe off like magic.

Cory HaddoxCory Haddox: I'm not sure what the other reviewers are having issues with. I even uploaded a photo of my 12 pancakes that I made. You can place them pretty close together, as they won't spread out and touch each other, and they are SUPER easy to flip. My husband loves fried eggs over easy, and I cooked three perfectly on this grill! Without oil. I don't have a photo of that, but will upload one next time I cook those for him. They were beautiful and perfectly done!

My only real complaint is that the warming tray is puny, but that doesn't really matter. I have a large family and used to spend over an hour whenever it was pancake brunch day! Now, with this thing, it took so little time to do the pancakes that the whole rest of the meal wasn't done. I need to relearn how to cook brunch doing 12 pancakes at a time instead of 4.

Love saving time, and love this thing!!

Oh- one other thing. The texture is different from when I cook pancakes on the cast iron grill. It's more of a ...firmness to it. No one minded, but there was a difference. I may add oil and see if that makes it different. But, I love the fact that I can make pancakes and not have to add TONS of expensive coconut...

Tab in NH: Awsome! No oil cooking on a surface that makes teflon look like fly paper. Seriously. It takes a little getting used to the ultra slick surface, but once you do, it is amazing to cook on. Best crepes I ever made. The trick for me, is to slide the item I am cooking, to the lip along the entire edge of the pan. Then I can easily slide my plastic spatula under the item without it slidind away from me. LOL, as I said, once you get a feel for it, it's really quite nice. Eggs over easy?, No sweat. English muffins on the griddle are better than your favorite greasy spoon. I still put a saucer on top of the muffin for weight as it browns, just like you would in a frying pan. Pancakes without smoking the house out!!!! For some reason, I always smoke up the kitchen when I make pancakes. But without any butter needed to cook, my pancakes come out like an IHOP professional. Cannot wait to use it more. A joy to use.. A Snap to clean. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.... Tab in NH....

Bobbi Ann Johnson: I bought this griddle to replace an electric griddle that I had bought at a certain large box store who's name starts with "W"
that griddle served me well but it finally died, I was not crazy about the non stick surface and after I saw this griddle I decided to buy it. Several things I have discovered are (1) cook at the recommended temperature as stated in the book, I cooked some eggs on it at a higher temperature and they stuck, (2) clean up is very easy and if you follow the instructions in the book you can remove dark stains from the surface as I did after I burned the eggs.
Now I admit that I have only used the griddle about 3 times for bacon, eggs, pancakes and a hamburger cooking them at the recommended temperature (after the egg burning incident) and everything came out great and all I had to do to clean the surface was wipe it down with a wet paper towel.
If there is one weakness to this griddle it is the temperature control in that it could be a little more detailed in its temperature settings.
If there was one thing I wish these electric griddles had was a digital temperature control where you could increase the temperature in 1, 5 or 10 degree increments I...

April Scoles: Good quality large griddle to replace my old worn-out Teflon model. This ergonomic design is easier to store and doesn't "snag" on other items in the cupboard. High quality 1-piece cord and tight connecting socket. Drip hole located on rear, warming tray doubles as cord storage on front of unit. The surface coating is superb - a quick wipe with dry paper towel and back into storage. My only disappointment has to do with the tracks used underneath for the warming tray sliders - pretty flimsy, easy to bend out of alignment, takes some diligence to make the drawer retract. I'd like to see Oster step it up one more notch and design the drawer tracks for better longevity.
