Jeremy: Thought this was gonna reduce the pain from my achilles tendinitis but it doesn't. It literally just feels like walking on a shoe that rocks... honestly wish I could get a refund because it doesn't really do anything...

Haven't had any prior experience with this type of product but, so far, this product is easy and comfortable to wear and pump action works well for support. There are a couple of pads included to mitigate the impact on the lower leg bone mentioned by other reviewers. Never had a foot odor problem before but keeping foot this enclosed for this long does has created an odor problem, so I'm really glad this is washable.
1/2/13 The velcro on the rigid side supports doesn't stay stuck to the support only the internal boot. I've tried a couple of rounds of different types of glue. Doesn't seem to cause a big problem but it's an annoyance. Also, not sure why, top velcro strap seems to work better to hold top area secure if you position loop so it's on mid front of leg instead of outside of leg. Washing it worked fine, no problems.

I sprain my ankle/foot really bad (grade 2/3) during a basketball game. My ankle inverted and there was massive swelling on my foot.
Needless to say I could not bear weight on the foot for a few days and even after that I needed something to give me support while I walked but also protect the foot and ankle. The doc said I was clear of any breaks and suggested I get a walker boot and to use it for a few weeks or until I was pain free, swelling free and confident.
I bought this boot because of the price and the great reviews. Even with insurance I would have had to pay more for a boot from the doc than I could have here on Amazon.
I was amazed at the quality of this boot. For 48$ I spent on it, I did not expect it to be as good as those 200$+ boots, but it really seems to be. It is comfortable, reasonably light and fit very nicely. I have been using it for only a little over a week now, but it seems to be holding up very well. I must admit though, I am not walking around very much, even though the pain and swelling in my foot has decreased majorly I am trying to stay off of my foot as much as possible for at least a few weeks. I use it to just...

T. Deighton:
I wore the boot for six weeks and found it basically comfortable and very sturdy. After I added a hunk of 1" foam between my leg ad the liner to stop the bulb from digging into my leg, it worked well. I did also put a scrap of the foam in the heel area. the liner is made by sewing straight down the back seam, so there is a triagle of extra fabric behind the heel. It folds over and can be a bit uncomfortable. The foam took up that space. The boot is light weight, nonslip, and easy to use.
Based on another review, I bought a medium since I wear a women's size 71/2 shoe. The boot stuck out about 2" from my toes. It's better to be longer than necessary than too short, and I don't know how much shorter the small is, so I still don't know if a small would have worked for me. There is a bit of a tendency for the foot to slide forward, so, again, longer is better than shorter.

Carol J. Roberts: Despite the other positive reviews, I was skeptical. I sprained my ankle 5 days ago, badly enough that I could bear no weight on it at all. After discovering how uncoordinated I am on crutches, I stumbled upon (pun intended) this walking boot and had it shipped next day. My shoe size was on the borderline, so I ordered 1 size up, and the boot fits very well, both in the footbed and around my calf. It's very easy to figure out how to put it on and strap it up. The boot is very lightweight (it's easy to elevate your foot with the boot on). Most important, I could put all my weight on the bad foot, and it didn't hurt. You do need to have a shoe with a good thick sole on your good foot, so you're level. The other thing to be aware of is that if you're short like me (5'3"), the boot comes up higher than in the product photo. From the bottom of your foot (not the bottom of the boot) to the top edge of the boot is 11". That brings the boot to the middle of my calf bulge. On a shorter person, the low-top boot is equivalent to the medium-top boot on someone tall. On the 2nd day with the boot, I tried walking up and down stairs. No problem whatsoever; it's completely...

SUSAN: I ordered this boot in a medium (womens 8.5) per the chart and when I got it, it was SO small, my toes were sticking out and over the top edge. Obviously there was some error, but this company DOES NOT make an exchange or refund...CHECK all the hidden info on returns!! Amazon says it is returnable or can exchange on the description page and did not think anything else. But when I put in for an exchange I was told this item is non-returnable. I would have NEVER ordered this boot!!! You have to click 2 different places to get to the place that says it is non-returnable. VERY DECEPTIVE and now I have a boot and a broken foot that I can not use. NEVER AGAIN, poor business practice!!
