its not enough for surgery but still hurts. Dr suggested ordering one of these. I picked this one as it looked comfortable. I've been warring it for 2 days now and I can say YES it has helped immensely. I'm 5-11 190 fit I followed the measurement chart and ordered a large. It fits snug but not too tight. if does not slip much at all even warring it all day. very happy with it. I would order again but... kinda hope I don't have to like ever again.

Hiker Lady: This is the 3rd different knee sleeve I've bought to stabilize my knee. Have been getting knee injections over the past several months and like a light brace on my knee when hiking. This one is excellent. It's not bulky and it actually stays up! I haven't had to pull it up or adjust it once since I received it and have been wearing it all day every day. Makes my knee feel more stable and is very comfortable. Came fast and the price was good.

Patricia Hampton: My knees have been bone on bone for over a decade. Walking has become both painful and rather hazardous since I never knew when one of would just give way. Well over a year ago I decided to try knee braces and after reading all I could about the products available, chose my first pair of Neencas. The knee cap stabilizer was key to my choice and really helps.

This is my third pair. I put them on first thing in the morning and take them off last thing at night. Over the months, the pain in my knees has decreased greatly. They are not pain free, I still get an occasional stab of pain but the constant ache is gone. More importantly, I haven't had knee collapse under me causing a fall since I started using them. I still can't kneel down without holding onto to something, but am able to do my gardening and even climb the ladder.

These knee braces are very sturdy and I have three pairs of them so I always have one clean. When I measured my leg for the first pair, I was exactly on the line between sizes. Gabriel's Dad: I own a variety of knee braces thanks to crappy knees and worn out cartilage and barely perceptible meniscus. Most often I can just get by wearing a sleeve, but occasionally when I've overdone it the day before, I'll need some stiff support for a week while the knee heals back to its baseline. I bought this brace to fill the gap between the super-duty brace with the external metal parts and just the fabric sleeve, and because it was the much cheaper alternative to the Bauerfeind which after years of use became worn out and finally had to be put to rest.

This brace is well made, thick, and has great elastic recoil and does a great job with compression. The compression and heat that it provide definitely helps my knee feel better and with the thicker material and internal ribbing, has more stability and structure than just a simple sleeve.

That being said, the stability offered by the side ribs is about average. Nothing particularly amazing. It's better than having nothing, but not by a huge margin. It's noticeable, but not amazing, and not even close to what the Bauerfeind offered. The patella pad kind-of helps stabilize my kneecap, but again, just barely. However,...
