Lesley Kammerzell: I use on our labradoodle. I would suggest using a wire brush first to loosen up. This is meant to get deep into their coat and it does. But to not hurt them I suggest going slow from the bottom up

Amazon Kunde: I was a bit afraid a metal comb would be too sharp and potentially hurt my dog, but these are great. The tips are rounded. great quality for the price too! I just wish at least one of the combs had even finer teeth
