Marilyn E: I bought this to see how it would compare to regular peppers used for sofrito in some of my favorite Cuban Food recipes.
The road to mushy, food waste Hades is paved with Bell Pepper halves saved for another day/recipe.
Wanting to avoid this scenario, I went for the frozen ones and let me tell you, they worked nicely in Picadillo and Beef Stew. The bag lasted me for about 3-4 uses. Granted, there’s nothing like the fresh version of bell peppers, but this is a great alternative to avoid food waste and save time with prep.
I’d definitely buy it again. If you’re reading through the reviews to help you make a final decision on whether you should try these or not, I say go for it! Nothing to lose, and one more possible favorite item to gain.
