Barb: Mushrooms are somewhat of a staple in my house. I make them with steak and gravy. I put them in a tomato and mushroom soup and mushrooms sauce with meat loaf. I put them in spaghetti sauce. In chop suey. Many other good things to eat. Sometimes I just sauté them with butter and onions. They’re nice to have always available in a can when fresh are forgotten or I just don’t have them. Cans are easier to keep around

Erikajzr: This given us surprised when we tried this new brand for more affordable to save and subscribe for us.. I used it for many of dishes when I cook with all of other things get altogether such for homemade tomato sauce added up with basil for some pasta dishes or pizza it turned out so delicious & tasty! I guarantee you wouldn’t be disappoint when you plan do homemade pizza or other dishes with those mushrooms it will pull it off so well!:)

WendyInWV: I would have normally given this item a low rating, however, the flavor and quality of the mushrooms was excellent-- far better than the usually grocery store canned mushrooms, organic or not, and the price was very good.

The downside was that even though the shipping box was completely undamaged, almost every can (even the ones in the center that would normally be a bit protected) was dented. Some of the cans had small dents that I normally wouldn't have bothered mentioning, but there were some that looked like they'd been whacked a few times with a heavy hammer, and 5 cans were in the "well, it didn't break open and leak so I guess we can use it if it looks okay after opening" catagory. Because the shipping box was fine, I can only think that the cans were dented prior to the packaging and shipping. If the seller was trying to get rid of dented cans, then the price should have been lower and the item description should have noted it so that buyers would be aware of the condition of the cans.

As I, and my family, were very happy with the quality and flavor of the canned mushrooms (they weren't the least bit rubbery!), I will consider buying them again, but will...

J Ken Kuzenski: i often use fresh mushrooms in cooking, but now and then I don't have them but want to make spaghetti sauce or pizza or stew, and then I need canned mushrooms in the pantry. These are surprisingly tasty for canned mushrooms, and these are the ones I'm going to keep on hand. I ordered a box of them and honestly, I didn't notice how the price compares with some national brands--they're really good. They may be less expensive, they may be more, but they're great for any cooking, so it doesn't matter--for now they're my brand of choice.
