Tina: This is my favorite sushi rise. The macros aren’t bad, it’s always fresh, and tastes amazing. I follow the instructions to a T, then add a vinegar seasoning. Makes great sushi and SUPER sticky!

ElVaporizer: This rice is like you get in your favorite sushi restaurant. I cook it with two parts water and one part rice for 20 minutes and let it rest for 10 minutes. I add mirin and rice vinegar to get the taste I like. Salt is to taste. Excellent rice for sushi or oriental meals. Lundberg has great rice.

jimdenver: Sushi Rice
X part rice (measured in cup, coffee cup, bowl)
In bowl rinse rice 4-5 times in cold water until water is clear drain using bowl and strainer each time
For every 1 part rice add 1 part water. (1/8th more for Sushi Angels)(1/2 cup rice makes 2 sushi rolls on 8 1/2”-7 1/2” roasted seaweed sheet)
Add rice and water portion to pot with lid (never remove lid)
Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for 8 minutes
After 8 minutes turn off heat and let sit for 20 minutes (do not remove lid)
During 20 minutes make sugar rice-vinegar and salt mixture
Mixture
• 1 TBLS sugar for every cup of rice
• 1 part rice vinegar to 4 part rice ie. 4 cups rice =1 cup rice vinegar
• 1/8 tsp salt for every cup of rice
• Stir mixture until dissolved
• In separate bowl add mixture to rice and fold into rice 2x times … do not chop mixture fold 2x times should be good
• Let sit uncovered for an hour or less and rice will be okay to touch
• Use for sushi
