Comments

Chris H.: This book is interesting and I appreciate the variety of cultures/countries represented. However, same sex marriage feels like it is being shoved down out kid's throats these days, making an appearance in more and more children's books. I realize this is controversial, but something our family does not feel needs to be coming at our children from all directions, certainly not in children's books. The other "This Is How You Do It" book is a favorite in our house. The quality and format of that one is much better in my opinion.

RootyRooty: The book is excellent but really unhappy to have received it in this condition. It was intended Ada birthday present for a little boy. How can I get a replacement (without going to the trouble of returning)?

Christopher Otero: This has been an excellent resource for part of my homeschool social studies curriculum for my 1st grader. It has sections such as "This is what I eat for breakfast," "This is how I play," This is what I do in the evenings," and "This is how I get from place to place." It highlights the fact that while there are differences in how we do things, there are more similarities between world cultures than we seem to realize. This book has really helped my child understand the basics of world cultures without it being overwhelming.

Christine LawsheChristine Lawshe: Hands down all time favorite. The story of real children from around the world is intriguing and fun. We love the pictures of the real kids at the end, and how cool it is that everyone shares the same night sky. Two thumbs way up.
