Roger C: After using replacement for 5 minutes, the sponge came loose - impossible for me to put back together. Noticed sponge and metal holder put together a certain way by manufacturer and to be put on mop handle a certain way.
So, I put the extra one on correctly and it's working fine.

anonymousanonymous: Didn't realize just how bad the old one was til I changed it LOL I've tried other brands/styles and this is still my favorite. Mine must be an old style, with a center hook instead of the side brackets, which are all that's covered in the easy-to-install instructions. The sponge was packed so tight under the center tunnel where the hook goes it couldn't feed through. took me an hour with tweezers, scissors, seam ripper to gouge out enough of the sponge to make room for the hook. It's really hard to get the hook through because the whole sponge has to be shoved down between the rollers on an angle to get the hook started through the tunnel. I took off one star for the difficulty.

LaNore Smith: I have used these for many many years now. I love this mop but can't find the refills except online. I love the size that will fit into any bucket, but THIS ONE fell apart on the first use. I'm getting a replacement which I hope will be better, but still have to go to UPS to send my defective one back, which is hard to squeeze into my schedule. I won't give up on them yet since it's my favorite mop...

SunnyJ: I'm sure this is an okay quality refill. But....this didn't fit the older roll o matic mop that I have, although it looked like a perfect fit in the photo. The metal connector on my original mop has no way to attach this refill. I ended up having to go out and look for a new mop......and there were no mops anywhere that I saw, that would fit this refill! Ended up buying a whole new mop......similar to the Roll O Matic. I would recommend that anytime you buy a new O Cedar mop, to buy extra refills at same time; Otherwise they may not be available when you need them. Kind of frustrating.
