Disclaimer: My husband and I have been taking this 5-HTP for only three days. We are not usually big proponents of naturopathic or homeopathic medicine and we shy away from taking vitamins.
I am immunocompromised and sometimes my life can be a little on the annoying side. I take a number of medications to help manage the side effects and prevent flares of symptoms that are not altogether pleasant to live with. My daily life ranges from miserable to tolerable - sometimes on the same exact day.
Due to covid I have just recently, within the last couple of weeks been notified by my doctor and pharmacist that a couple of my medications have been placed on the FDA's backorder list. These lists are created when the large drug makers cannot obtain ingredients to manufacture medications or cannot get the medications themselves shipped from other countries like China and India. Right now shipping restrictions are making my life less tolerable and more miserable.
