Purchased this Nutrichef dehydrator to complement/replace my Mr Coffee dehydrator. The trays and lids are interchangeable between the two which is great. Quality seems to be on par with my old one. As usual delivery was as expected.

I've used it for veggies and fruit and it does that OK but requires a lot of time, however I made some chicken jerky and it only took around 8 hours which was nice. Very good.

I proshased foe my produce and when I took out of the box I heard a piece hit the ground. When I inspected I found 2 piece broken off the tray. I would return but have produce that will go bad. Would love a reacement tray for the broken one

Seems to work fine. I tried drying some parsley. According to the internet you should dry it at 95 degrees, so I set the temperature at the first notch. It took a long time, over 10 hours and it still was not dry. However, since it was new I kept unplugging it every time I left the house, for safety purposes until I was sure it would be safe to continue to run unattended. The power cord is short which is as electrical guidelines indicate, and you are not to place it on any flammable surfaces, wood trivets, or counters, cutting boards, so I placed it on my stove. Eventually I placed it on a metal rack that actually elevated it to 2 inches above any surface. Dehydrator was fine, and did get warm. I finally turned it up to the mark at 104 degrees and it finished drying. So the temperature knob is a little confusing to interpret. I do like the fact that there is a temperature control, it is very easy to clean and is actually very compact. I think it will work fine for my needs.

Very nice product and simple to use. I did have some sticking initially but was told to use Pam. I did candy some and the the other fruit still stuck. The unit is not noisy in my opinion it's comparable to a fan on low speed. There was no initial smell when turned on as it states it may smell odd the first hour but it didn't. It's SO easy to use you simply just turn it on. There is no certain temp you just look and can tell when things are done. It does take some time to dry out like at least 8 to 16 hours so it's a process that requires some patients. The bottom did get sticky and I simply washed it off with ease. The racks cleaned up nicely in the top rack of the dishwasher. I would definitely buy this product again in fact I would like some more racks but can't find where to order them. You can stack up to 20 trays so I suggest buying more. Overall so far it's a great product and the snacks are AMAZING!! Very tasty treats and a good way to get you or your kids to eat fruit! If you love crunchy stuff you will love this!
