Z. Noesser: I got this for my son in middle school (8th grade). He's a big kid, but this backpack is BIG on him. There were two sizes, I am sure we could have gotten away with the smaller one. That said. WOW, what a backpack. It's well made with pockets for everything. Two full padded areas. I was literally able to put his old computer backpack INTO the smaller of the two areas, zip it up and have a full backpack worth of space to use still.

LNS: Just got this bag to replace an old Jansport day pack I've used as a carry-on for years. This pack seems to be well made and durable. Should easily withstand being shoved under a seat during flights. Lots of interior room for clothes, laptops, etc. The only problems are the front and side zippered pockets. They are truly bizarre. The side zip pockets are about 10 inches deep, but are too narrow for my hand to fit in. I see myself having to upend the bag to shake things out. Might try a long ditty bag in them to have something to grab.
The bottom front zip pocket is equally strange. It's open space extends up behind the top front zip pocket. Wasted space. Would have been better making the top pocket bigger. That being said, I'm keeping the bag. The large compartments will eliminate the need for my neck pillow and headphone case to be hanging on the outside. That was a huge pain on my recent trip to Greece. Plenty of room to use this bag alone for a quick trip. Looking forward to trying it out.

Tamrak: The backpack is big enough to fit a large laptop. I have been looking for this type of backpack for a while. It is larger than Swissgear 1900 series. One thing that I wish the manufacture could improve is to have the zipper on the mesh part (inside the bag) as well. Currently, there are several slots that we could put the folders or books in there. I wish there is just one slot with zipper inside. So, I can put some valuable items securely in there.

Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it.

Kent: I bought this laptop backpack to fit a very large screen and very heavy laptop. Even so, it was a little snug (not the backpacks fault, the laptop size was pretty extreme, closer to 17.5" and I didn't want a larger model).

I used this for over three years daily transporting my backpack back and forth between home and work . It made numerous flights, was handled by a single shoulder strap and the top handle. Frankly it held up excellently through it all! It's been washed after unfortunate spills and soils.

So why write this review years after the original purchase? Why after I retired it? Well truthfully it is only semi-retired. Daily use is a new bag provided by my employer that fits a new smaller laptop with a few features I liked. The old bag did start to wear through the fabric in the corner where the corner of my old hulking laptop rubbed it. No zipper failures or strap failures during that time. I still keep this bag for casual use.

VERDICT: Would I buy another one? Sure thing, though really the old one is still totally functional. Oh, and buy the way, the new one provided by my employer? It's just a newer, smaller version of this one!
