Decently sturdy nylon material, built-in laptop sleeve does have some padding, lots of pockets. Width is good to hold laptop and extras comfortably. Good price with sales but full price may be steep.

92krish10: This is my first Amazon review because I feel like I need to share why this backpack is great. I was skeptical at first but backpacks are so beneficial for your back. It’s better to have than a messenger bag especially if you bring more items for school / work.

Benefits: spacious main compartment and wide opening to see items - this makes such a huge difference compared to other backpacks bc you can see everything inside / padded back - I did a test to see how thick it was with my fingers pressing against the inner and outer and it is THICK; if you place a laptop or iPad in the back compartment (the one behind the iPad area), it will be safe from bumps / closure for top handles are magnetic - believe me it makes a difference / enough pockets but not an overwhelming amount - great for those who don’t want to overfill their backpack and don’t want to rummage through so many pockets / long shoulder straps - great to have if you prefer longer straps / water resistant - curious if it’ll last for many years though

Don’t love but ok: top handles - too big, hopefully they make it a bit smaller so it’s not too obvious / side pockets: can place 24oz water bottle...

DebDeb: This is the best bag ever. I am so happy with this purchase! I normally carry my laptop bag, lunch bag, pocketbook, coffee, and water bottles into work each day. I’m 5’2” and practically falling over doing this! This bag is amazing! Fits my Lenova Thinkpad, MacbookAir, folders, lunchbox, pocketbook, two water bottles - one on each side -, book I’m reading etc. It’s has so much space and not too many pockets. I keep my phone in the outside pocket. Inside sections for pens and smaller items. I would buy this bag a million times over! Game changer! Price was incredible and it’s stylish too!!! It even attaches to luggage for travel!!

Melanie Criqui: I'm a teacher and carry a lot everyday, this bag is the best thing I've purchased in a very long time! I saw it on a teacher website and contemplated buying it because I didn't really NEED it but I got it anyway. I'm so glad I did! This holds so much while still being easy to carry. I love that it can be used as a backpack or carried by the handles. The material is nice looking, easy to keep clean and wipe off. When I'm wearing it as a backpack and in the rain the inside stays 100% dry. There are so many pockets and divided spaces so things aren't just jumbled in there. The charging port/cord is a bonus. I highly HIGHLY recommend this bag.

ShaB95: I first bought this bag almost 7 years ago for work. I also travel a lot for work and wanted a professional looking bag when I met with clients. For such an inexpensive bag, this has been a reliable workhorse! It held up really well and was super functional. Even though the bag has held up well, it was starting to show a little wear and I wanted a new backpack with a strap that I can throw over my luggage handle. Previously this bag did not have that feature but they’ve improved the bag in several ways since I last bought it 7 years ago including the luggage handle strap. Love it. The front outer pocket is also deeper which I was pleasantly happy about since I used to pack that thing with all kinds of little things I wanted to access quickly. The pockets inside have been slightly reconfigured and are more useful. Still the same aqua blue inner lining which makes things easier to find in there than a brown or black inner lining that darkens the interior, and it’s pretty. I love that they improved the bag rather than taking away features that you often see these days, and I actually paid a couple dollars less than I did 7 years ago! Really great value.

D Hall: I have been in search of the perfect black travel bag for years. I usually prefer a tote, and I have several. But each has something that isn't quite right. On my last trip, I used this bag as my personal item on the plane and brought along a Baggallini tote for the actual conference. I think I might have found the combination that works for me!

Pros:
- this bag stays standing upright when I set it down
- the top opens wide
- the inside of the bag is a different color, which is critical when one has black accessories that can get lost in a bag
- there is a deep laptop pocket
- there are two side pockets for water bottle, umbrella, etc.
- there is an outside pocket for smaller items
- the bag fit so easily and quickly under the seat on the airplane (and I wasn't sure this would be the case)
- it is easy to wipe clean
- the top handles provide added versatility
- the trolley strap is critical for added options when dashing through an airport
- I don't know how the bag does this, but even fully loaded, the weight distribution worked for me. The bag, complete with laptop in it, did not feel heavy at all.

ClaireS: I bought this originally to store my ski helmet while travelling and it did the job. The top opens up wide so you can fit quite a lot in there. I now use it as my bag for commuting into the office. It holds everything I need including my laptop, notebook and drinks with plenty of room to spare. Having the space for a powerbank and the connector on the outside is really handy too. The material hasn't ripped and the hardware hasn't discoloured in the 6 months I've had it. The straps are comfy and they have little elastic loops so you can tuck any excess away which is great. It looks stylish and it's comfy to wear. It's easy to clean too as you just take a damp cloth to it. It's survived several rainy days although I think if you were in heavy rain all day it might not last but it's not really designed for that. All in all a great backpack for a great price.
