I bought this one because I like the minimum look and it wasn't that bad for the price. It was really easy to put together and of course my cat loves it too, as well as my dog who recently started drinking out of the fountain. It does make noise but I don't mind it I actually like the sound of running water in the background. all in all a great buy for my cat, my dog and me.

Mp22: Our cat can be finnicky about his water (a cat being finicky??) He loves drinking from this fountain. I use the smaller of the attachments that came with it, and it's almost completely silent. I had a small issue and the seller was quick to respond and resolve. 5 star product and seller!

The Jeffster: Works as expected. In some sense though, its a bit overpriced since its just a plastic bucket with a small usb powered pump. Filter seems to be the same used in others brands/models so should be easy to find.

No motion on this, so wired in a usb PIR sensor to have it come on and off when the cat approaches.

Félicie: Water fountains are definitely a must-have for your pet’s health. However I would buy the inox/steel one over this one because the plastic one can be a pain to clean. Some dirt just now stained some part of the fountain.

kristif: Our cat really likes to drink running water. I read that older cats are healthier if they stay hydrated. She just turned 10, so I decided it would be a good idea to encourage her to drink more water. I read a ton of fountain reviews and decided on this one. I'm so glad I did. It's fairly easy to assemble and I had it up and running in minutes. My can immediately started drinking from the fountain and it definitely encourages her to drink a lot more water each day. The fountain makes a soothing sound that's not too loud. It's kind of a pain to clean, but I only need to clean it every 3 weeks or so. (Other reviewers suggest more frequent cleanings...I don't know if it's our water or what, but the fountain doesn't get "slimy" as quickly as some have indicated). The filter can be rinsed and re-used, but won't last forever. I ordered a 12-pack of replacement filters for about $15, so I'll be ready when I need to replace the current filter. This was exactly what I was looking for.

Nicolas LemelinNicolas Lemelin: I bought this since our 2 cats think they are royal family and are too fancy to drink out of a bowl. We actually had to let them drink from the bath faucet multiple times a day.

Now, on to the review.

The product has a really nice look and the fact that is transparent makes it easy to see if there are some debris or dirt in it. The cable is very long so it doesn't have to be right next to a power outlet.

The capacity is decent and allows us to leave the house for a few days without worrying about the cats being thirsty.

The only con is that it makes a bit of noise, especially when it's not full and even if it has more than the minimal amount of water. It's not much and I think it's impossible for a water fountain to be 100 % silent.

Dave: This is the 3rd cat fountain I have purchased and by far the best. It is easy to clean and assemble. I had a stainless steel one before and a flower one and both of those were hard to clean and hard to tell how low the water was until you took it apart.

With the NPet fountain being transparent, it made it easy for me to know when to refill and when to clean (more than usual if needed). This fountain my cat gravitated towards as well with the way the stream comes out. You are give 3 options of how you want the water to enter the top bowl. The fountain is the most quiet of all the fountains I have owned.

Also the customer service is excellent. The pump stopped working after a few months and I contacted NPet directly and I receive a response from a team member within minutes and a new pump was sent over the next day. It was much appreciated.

Overall great purchase and would buy other products from this company.

David J. Lauridsen Jr.David J. Lauridsen Jr.: I bought this to replace a cat fountain I bought years ago that had broken. Previous cats we have owned had kidney issues, and the vet has always recommended encouraging drinking by having a perpetual fountain like this or by leaving a faucet trickling.

This fountain is very good overall, here are my pros and cons:

Pros:

- It is transparent, so you can easily see the water level, and whether the water is "dirty", etc.

- It is a simple attractive design, and is small enough that it doesn't get in the way.

- The fountain is very quiet. The only time I hear it al all is when the water level gets a little low, and is dripping between the filter and the reservoir. (Or when my cats are noisily lapping at the water.)

- The fountain is (mostly) easy to clean. The relatively simple design is pretty much two big sections (top and bottom). The top contains the compartment with the replaceable filter and the spout. The bottom is just the water reservoir and where the small pump is placed/submerged.

- The filter is easy to get to, and replacements are easy to obtain. I have also found aftermarket (non-OEM) filters that are cheaper.
