Cristine M.: So Easy to use, and so easy to clean. Smart, simple design. Have been using this weekly since we bought it. How refreshing it is to buy a product (this day in age) that does exactly what you bought it for, and it completely works, each and every time, the way you would hope and expect it to.

Jaimie: I love my new waffle iron that is made in the USA 🇺🇸. Supporting American workers and enjoying my waffles. What more do you need from a waffle iron?

Laverne M Green: Makes the best waffles. Is a easy clean up and no cords or outlets needed. Sending my electric one to the second hand store.

Merlin: I prefer making waffles on the stovetop vs. an electric waffle maker since allows me to control the heating and cooking better.

For those who complain about waffles sticking, try brushing melted butter all around the waffle iron. Also, waffles will stick if it's not fully cooked or the waffle batter is too wet.

I only wish this was made of aluminum alloy instead of cast aluminum. Time will tell of its longevity. I plan on using it once a week.

Norikos: I purchased this over the electric waffles makers because this stores away nicely and won't take up valuable real estate in my small kitchen. It's easy to clean but it does take practice to make the perfect waffles. If you don't cook the waffles properly, the waffle will break into two layers when you try to separate the two irons, making the departed layers hard to take off. I believe that's why people are saying this iron is "sticking".

I love this iron so far. Made breakfast several times and dessert waffles too.

I am using this on a gas stove.

JetageJetage: This thing is a joy to use

If ever you were thinking about buying an electric waffle make STOP! They suffer from not getting hot enough, and stick, then take up far too much room next to the abandoned bread maker in your cupboard. This thing is a joy to use. we use some spray oil to minimise amount used and get coverage. Heat it strongly for a few minutes, then spoon in mixture. 1 minute on that side, then 2 on the other, and you have amazing waffes every time. Best part is you can then clean it in the sink like any other pan any store it with minimal room. 4 months in and we've used it a good 15-20 times without fault.

If useful, the recipe I use is Jamie Olivers, and they taste great! Don't forget the Nutella!

Update December 17.. this thing has now made countless waffles in our household and it’s still perfect! Watching Nigella on tv over xmas looks like this is her weapon of choice too!

Update March 2018.. I've gotten into using this for potato waffles now too. Coarsly grated potato, squeeze out the water, mix in herbs, salt and pepper, then cram it into a pre oiled waffler. Make sure its nice and full, mines usually bulging. This will settle down...

Veebee789: I bought this on the basis of the other reviews. I decided to go for the waffle iron instead of the electric ones, as it would take up less room. It is very sturdy and the non stick surface seems to be of good quality. I made my first batch of waffles today, but didn't use the yeast recipe that was included on the packaging, as we didn't want to wait for the yeast to start to work. I used 250g plain flour, 1 dessert spoon of baking powder, 2 tablespoons of caster sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 450ml of semi skimmed milk, 2 eggs separated, two tablespoons melted butter. I whisked the egg whites and set them aside. I mixed all the other ingredients together, except the melted butter. Add the melted butter when everything is nicely mixed. I then folded in the egg whites. Heat the waffle iron for 2 minutes on each side. I turned the gas down to medium/low. I melted a bit more butter and lightly brushed the iron on both sides with the butter. Then filled the bottom plate with the mixture until it covered all the bumps, then put the lid down. There was a bit of trial and error, but the best results were when I cooked it for about 45 seconds, then turned...

Amazon Customer: We recently swapped out an AGA for a dual fuel range cooker and I was looking around for a waffle iron to use with it. I considered the standard waffle making machines but was quite taken with the idea of this as is seemed a bit more fun to use - also it is called a waffler which I found quite pleasing.

Having looked at multiple products I settled on this one after reading the reviews on Amazon.com (after all who better to review a waffle iron that our cousins across the pond eh?).

I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with the product. It is easy to use - simply baste the interior with oil or butter, place on a gas burner and wait until the top surface is too hot to touch, add waffle mix and then flip it over and cook for 3 minutes. So far perfect waffles every time (I would definitely recommend, irrespective of the recipe in use, whisking the egg whites and folding them into the waffle batter as it makes the waffles really fluffy and light) with a lovely crispy surface.

Once done and cooled it is easy to clean as it comes apart and, because it is aluminium, it is easy to handle (i.e. not too heavy).

Remember this is aluminium and not cast iron...

Memly: Love this waffle iron. My new favorite and I have vowed to use this every weekend for family breakfasts. I have not tried another iron before so I cannot compare. But with all the good things about this iron, why get another? I did much research and this is probably the best stovetop iron out there right now.

PROS:
Easy to use
Easy to clean
Flat, takes up no space when stored, can be tucked away
Makes 4 thick waffles with very deep wells for topping
Sturdy construction, should last unless plastic handles break off
Plastic handles stay cool
Great control over cooking temp on stove top
Waffle release beautifully, no sticking
Heavy iron cooks and browns evenly
Releases beautifully, no sticking

CONS:
This could be a lifetime tool if it didn't have the non-stick surface and also if the cast aluminum ran the length of the handles. So even if the plastic comes off, there would be aluminum underneath.

I wowed my family at the first use. I just followed the Belgium Waffle recipe that came with the packaging. It was so easy and tasty. If you don't have a recipe in mind, try that one first. I recommend doubling the sugar as it only calls...
