Nooie WiFi Baby Monitor Camera: Keep an Eye on Your Little One from Anywhere

Locutus65Locutus65: My mother recently had surgery and is unable to climb stairs to get to the bedrooms yet so she is sleeping in the living room. I purchased this camera so I could keep an eye on her if she needed help during the night as well as when I work from home (upstairs) during the day.
Got it on sale for only $40.00 and even though the reviews were good I really wasn't expecting super quality from a $40 camera.
Wow was I ever pleasantly surprised!
PROS:
1st - Super easy to set up and get on my wireless network.
2nd - amazing picture quality both day and night view. You see some business security camera footage on news stories and the person in the video could be anybody, but this tiny little camera is crystal clear.
3rd - Motion tracking is great and sensitivity is adjustable. You can have it send an alert to your phone when it detects either motion or unusual sounds.

CONS:
1st - While it has 2 way audio, the sound that comes From the camera (when you are talking from the app to the camera) isn't very loud at all.
2nd - Motion tracking, while it works well, doesn't follow the subject smoothly. It waits until the subject is almost out of frame then turns to put...

Erin FlorenceErin Florence: Nooie Cam has been one of the best purchases I have made in a while! The peace of mind knowing I can check on my puppy at any time from near or far is incredible.

I was amazed at the quality of the video feed let alone the nighttime video feed! I’m able to check on her while at work; I’m able to leave her for two seconds to go to the bathroom and know that she’s not getting into anything; I can make sure she’s still napping without waking her up.

The two-way audio has been a blessing as well. I can speak to her from the great beyond to tell her no, or even to let her know how cute she is.

I was surprised to find that the app is free to use. Many of the cameras I was researching required an annual fee of some sort just to open the thing. With Nooie, the only thing I can CHOOSE to pay for is cloud storage if I so desire. Otherwise, it’s completely free to use.

Even the set up was super easy. Opened the app, did all of the log in stuff, chose my camera, they displayed a QR code on my phone, I held it in front of the camera… boom. Connected.

Long story short, this little thing is amazing for the price. 10/10

Stephanie HeadleyStephanie Headley: My wife and I like our Nooie 360 camera, it works pretty well. The design is quite nice which make it a nice looking, functional camera. The night vision is very good and the picture quality is very good as well. Being able to move the camera with the mobile app is easy and the motion tracking is a nice feature. The only complaint i have is you can't have multiple accounts logged in at a time. Otherwise it is a good camera, especially for the price!

mommyof5mommyof5: This baby monitor is absolutely amazing! The quality of the images are crystal clear. Motion detection is very sensitive. Set up was extremely easy. The ability to zoom, move the camera side to side and up & down is very convenient, especially in my case where there are two babies (twins) in the room that I’m watching. It is also very quiet when you are moving it around and does not disturb the child/children

There’s just two things that I would’ve added, and that would be an SD card to be included and also the ability to see it on a regular baby monitor For those people who don’t use their phones or tablets.

Chris J Walker: Camera works well, with good notifications, and tracking of motion etc. Notification of Sound Detection was the key selling point for me, and this works well. I can be notified anytime my dog is barking, and I can jump to the video to see exactly what is going on.

It alerted me that there is a new firmware for the camera, and updating it was very easy. It has very good picture quality during day and its night vision is great as well. I attached a couple of pictures from its quality during day and night. The app is very easy to use. You can move the camera by easily moving your finger on the live picture. The motion tracking is very cool. It detects movement and track the moving object easily. It is great if you want to track your kid at home. It also has motion and sound detection. You can easily change its sensitivity, and it alerts you of a sound or movement within a couple of seconds. I think it is very effective to monitor your baby or even as a security camera. You can either install a memory card or use its cloud functionality to store pictures and videos. If you want to be very picky, I would say there are a couple of areas for improvement. One would be moving the camera from the app. Sometime it feels a bit lagging. But if you have the motion tracking on, you will not notice it as the camera automatically moves based on the detected movement in front...

David M: I have a few Nooie RGB wifi light bulbs and I really like their look and overall functionality. Like the bulbs, i think this camera is a great mix of hitting a good price point while staying competitive in features with other more expensive cameras. I had an issue connecting the bulbs before and their customer support is quite quick and effective and they figured out what i was doing wrong. Overall a great camera and I would also recommend their bulbs.

It makes a bit of a noise when the motor rotates and that's to be expected, but the camera is pretty quiet overall.

The associated app also works pretty seamlessly with connecting and use. Probably took 3-5 min to set up. The video quality is good and its fun to move the camera around with the phones touchscreen. Still new to it and its functionality but even with my limited experience I'm finding it a joy to use and it exceeds my expectations for the price as I would normally expect this kind of camera at this quality to be a bit more expensive.

I like that it comes with a travel adaptor as well as wall mounting hardware.

Definitely recommend if you need a baby or pet monitor or just general house...

CLCL: Well packaged and feels like it's good quality. Paired easily with a QR code on the phone in front of the camera. 2.4 GHz only which is fine for a device like this. Image quality was good and it's decent at night. Minimal lag in live view. It does slowly rotate 360 degrees. I don't anticipate needing the full rotation as that would be a bit tedious to scroll through but it's nice if something is just a little bit out of frame. The app is good. I already have lights so it's nice adding to the same ecosystem. I should note that it's powered by micro USB and came with a travel adapter. My travel adapter was an EU though, but I happen to have a spare converter. Please take this into account if purchasing. On the hole, very happy with this purchase and would purchase again.

The Camera periodically makes a Clicking Sound when the ambient light goes down or when it is Dark Or at Night (IN ORDER TO ACTIVATE THE INFRARED SENSORS OR NIGHT VISION). For me, this is a bit annoying. But after Researching and Researching I found the Answer on the web... I share it...

The clicking sound is normal for microbolometer-based cameras. It is a result of the camera's non-uniformity correction, or NUC. What you actually hear is the camera's internal shutter moving in front of the detector for a breif instant.

This happens regularly on uncooled infrared cameras but it will also happen occasioanlly in the cooled infrared models.

It is also referred to as an FFC - which stands for flat field correction. The shutter is a flat source for the detector to calibrate itself to output a uniform response.
