mayank: Very easy to use and tie down stuff. The tie down mechanism is much better and efficient than typical cinch straps. I use it to tie down my motorcycle luggage. However, for the price that it demands, the strap quality could have been better. I have just tried it a couple of times and already I can see the threads fraying in a few places. I believe it will be an easy fix with a lighter but still disappointing.

G&J: I’ve used these for years and would never switch brands. For everyday use, these are super strong and durable, can be connected with other straps if need be, and are color coded by length for ease of identification. My only complaint is that I wish they included one of their gear ties to keep them neatly rolled up instead of the standard packaging twist tie, but otherwise, these things are perfect.

Brook Worm: I'm a huge a fan of Nite Ize innovative high quality products. These straps are no different. I've been using similar straps from Yakima, Thule, and NRS to tie kayaks and canoes cartop for over thirty years and these match or exceed those in workmanship.
So why four, not five, stars? Compared to others, the cam is a bit heavy and its release mechanism is sufficiently exposed that if something strikes it while the strap is under tension, it might release. It's unlikely, I admit, but enough to undermine the piece of mind I get with the simpler straps. (My favorite is the Yakima, which has a substantial gray rubber cover that slides over the cam to protect it and your vehicle/cargo from scratches or dents - a concern when you are tossing the cam-end across the roof).

Jasen B Hicks: I've used a lot of different products over the years hauling motorcycles to the trails and the track. I bought a Canoe and needed some new straps and went with these because ratchet straps can get too tight. The system is a little complicated until you get it figured out but once you have it, it's amazing. Having the ability to put the buckle wherever you want it is great for getting it just right. Being able to place it gives you the ability to set it up so you have the best mechanical advantage when cinching it up. My only two complaints are the fact that one of the rubber pads fell off the first time I used it. Not an issue since I'd put the buckle where it wasn't contacting the canoe, and the canoe is old so I wasn't worried anyway. Second is curious that the longer version is cheaper to buy than the shorter version. I bought the long one and then cut it to the length I needed and melted the ends and now it's perfect.

Fur Coat: Seemed like a goofy consumerist purchase given anyone can tie something down, but I am super pleased with it. Appears to be high quality and should last many several years (I purchased to replace another cam strap that broke after two years). Revolutionized securing down lumber or a canopy tent to my roof rack, especially when I don't have somebody on the other side of the car to toss the loose end back to me. Doesn't require much effort to cinch really tight. Not hard to replicate with a rope and trucker's hitch, but worth it for anyone without a fondness for knots but who has to regularly lash down a canoe.
