CatLady: We bought this to bring to Bermuda so we would have shade at all the beaches we went to. Fantastic for shade. It kept us from sun burning. It's defintely a bit heavy and big to pack in a suitcase, but it was so worth it. You get shade, and as the air flows nicely under it, you don't get hot like a beach tent. In bigger winds the sand bags did slide one day and we couldn't use it, but it most conditions if you dig a bit of a hole for them, it stays put really well. It isn't waterproof. We didn't expect it to be, but it really puddles and drips through, and is heavy when wet. Just so you know. We didnt use it when it looked like rain, or quickly took it down if we saw rain coming. It is heavy when wet and takes awhile to dry. But as intended, for shade in bright sun and moderate breezes, it's amazing. We had people stop and ask us about where we got it... Amazon of course. Oh, only strange thing. The carry bag ripped the first day we used it and we had to use a dry bag, as the carry bag was garbage.

Quand certains parasols s’envolent la tente tient!!! Et il n’y a rien de plus agréable de pouvoir s’allonger de tout son long à l’ombre !!!( suis proche des deux mètres😉)

Amazon Customer: Pros: this is soooo lightweight and easy to carry in comparison to other tents. It stores in a bag that can be thrown over your shoulder. This will work with no wind as well which is a pro. Also I really like how you fill the bags with sand so it is sturdy. Also if it does fall down it just collapses and you are not chasing your umbrella down the beach worried about who it is taking down with it.
Cons: If it is too windy it is nearly impossible to put up and falls, which can be frustrating. However, this has only happened to us once. It also only comes with two poles and I think to prevent this from happening you really need 4 poles.
Overall a great alternative especially when you are already hauling a ton of stuff to the beach this is very easy to carry and takes up little room in the car. Will be purchasing additional poles for next summer for sure.

EugenisesEugenises: It took us a little while to figure out the best way to set it up so it wouldn’t fall, but once we figured it out (put more sand than you think in the bags-if not, a gust of wind will catch the shade and the bags will be dragged and the entire thing can collapse), it provided great shade and it was easy to set up and take down. It doesn’t weigh a lot, so it didn’t add a lot of weight to the millions of other things required for a beach trip. The material is easy to shake sand off of. The reason I took a star off is it has to be set up juuusst right or the next gust of wind collapses it and it took a while to figure it out.
I was disappointed in the quality check from Amazon. I ordered a “used, very good”, which in description usually means just original packaging may not be there. Any thing I have ordered in the past with that description has arrived unused. This was obviously used as when we opened the package to check it out, it was sandy and it smelled like the ocean. It arrived packaged in a ups box, so I think it had been returned, packaged by ups and then never inspected by Amazon (the box had obviously not been opened). Please don’t be those people who order...

ClydeP1ClydeP1: Bought this tent for our frequent trips to Hilton Head Island and wanted something bigger, better and most importantly lighter than your average umbrella/canopy. Have had our share of umbrellas that require a mallet, steel pin drill or in some cases the screw type feature that augers into the sand and are a hassle to lug around and then set up. Have also seen our share of the big canopies that everyone buys for the beach. After a ton of research, I was down to this Neso Grande tent and another more simplistic solution that was more than double the cost but required at least 2 mph winds to keep the canopy up to provide cover. I worried about that other competitive product design due to the fact that every time we had gone to the beach the wind was very unpredictable and at least once throughout the day the wind direction would change which would require you to move that canopy to follow the wind to keep it standing. I found the Neso that was not as simplistic as that design but seemed like a much better solution in that once you set it up you didn't have to worry about anything other than following the shade as the sun moved across the sky.
