Matt: Not truly accurate for small jobs , sure if you stick it to a wall socket or something. Tried a button out string of lights and nothing , had another stri by of lights to the same cord and those worked but gave me no reading

721trucker: I have done some home wiring, and I've been an electronic tech in the military. I've been a home DIY guy for quite awhile. This thing is going to let you down. The first time I used the thing I was getting mixed signals as to whether there was current present in the line or not. Since the entire reason you use this thing is to be sure of that very thing...well, it seems like it's not going to be reliable.
The overall quality looks sketchy, the functionality is questionable. I like a good deal, but electrocution seems like a high price to pay for a bargain. Skip this.
