Chris: Worked for what I needed it to. Had an issue with a new build, and the USB devices I hooked up were not working. Was able to test to ports (everything was good there), and able to nail down what the issue was (in this case I has a software compatibility issue).
Not bad for a cheap, quickly delivered tester.

Keith R.: The unit works as it is supposed to. Remember that some smart USB ports will only show the information if you plug a device into the output of the tester. This is especially true of the USB-C input.

Amazon Customer: When I received this unit it was packaged in a
nice little case with a view window. Nice touch.
When I checked the voltage as compared against
my Fluke 87 dvm, this unit was DEAD ON EXACT.
My Fluke was only in 20000 count mode but that
was good enough for me. I was expecting some
error but was gladly disappointed. I must admit
being a little surprised. Nice

Don W.: For the first time I have been able to test a USB outlet. Fantastic! I did not give a full rating for accuracy because I did not test the tester but the display shows what the USB outlet I purchased is supposed to produce and what amperage the load is reported to draw.

Ricky SilvanRicky Silvan: This item is a godsend when it comes to being ripped off by unscrupulous service technicians when customers go to them to get our smartphones, iPads and tablets fixed!

Clearly one of the reasons why the iPad did not charge, was that the defective charging cord only works depending on which side it's plugged in.

It could have also prove that the part that the technician installed, was likely not installed properly, still not working, and at great cost me for the charging port.

If not only proved that the guy was lying to me and charged me over $214CN dollars to fix a $99 item that Apple would have fixed.

Now, they did something to make my screen inoperable and was trying to hold me ransom to spending more money to replace both the screen and install a new battery. I know if I take it to Apple, the repairs wouldn't be this exorbitant nor would I be ripped off!

The fact that the battery has since charged, and held its charge, there is clearly no need to recommending it to be replaced. I wish I had this product before I even took it to the service technician.

J-Tec: Easy to use but the manual describing the various settings is not great. One setting called capacitance is a term often used in electronics and relates to electrical storage. On this device it is actually the amount of energy in mah (milliamp hours) that is sent to your device battery. This is actually quite useful as it shows how much energy the battery is still capable of being charged with. The variety of displays is really good. The unit has a short flexible dongle which makes it less likely to be damaged by bumping. My only real complaint is that most USB ports are oriented the same way and plugging this device into a USB port results in the display facing downward. The short dongle can be twisted to view the readings but it naturally turns upside down when released.

Dave: It was delivered on time. It was well packaged. It came with instructions that provided a general idea of what to expect. The features are as described on the Amazon listing (unlike others). It was simple to use. I like the cable attachment. It might be a little finicky, but I can find a way to rotate it to see the display unlike some of the units that plug directly into the USB port and you need to flip the computer over to see the display. Hard to say how accurate it is. At 5.5 volts It's within 1/100th of a volt of another unit I have. The current drops to zero when charging is complete. The power displayed is the product of the voltage and current. I can't really say how accurate the capacity is. I've used this about a dozen times with no problems so far.

Tom Waters: DROK makes great products. Things you didn’t know you needed, or EXACTLY what you needed at very affordable prices.
With few exceptions, excellent build quality (doesn’t “feel cheap”).
ABOUT YHE COMPANY AND THEIR PRODUCT-
Their devices frequently have many features, maybe beyond what you needed included but that’s just it; A great Value!
AND, if you’re a casual DIYer you could read up on the stuff you didn’t need it to do and Learn something. I’m well-trained and paid for what I do. Yet every job/client I do typically has an added bonus of some pearls of wisdom for me, or others the next time. Knowledge is Power...Pun intended ;)
When I’m looking for a meter or other similar device, I ONLY shop the DROK products. The instructions coming with this product are excellent (see below for more on that in general).
THIS THING is great to see current flow, check your charge cables, it’s NOT a way to discharge a battery, and doesn’t really work effectively (for the lay-person) to see charging rates. It’s best for voltage, live load, draw.
Nite on cables-I have some ISB cables that are wired weird. They will lower but not transfer data. Some do...

Just MeJust Me: This is one of those devices that is priceless when you want or need to determine if your USB chargers and cables are working properly.

While the monitors read out is rather small it’s still bright enough to read even in a well-lit room. What it shows you provides all of the details you need to keep an eye on your batteries and chargers. By showing charger Voltage, Current, Charging Wattage, and Calculated Battery Capacity you can:
~Determine if your charger is putting out enough current, see if it matches what its rated at
~See if the voltage drops when the charger is putting out high current (Amps) which is a bad thing
~View the power being consumed, Watts while charging or just running a device off of the charger
~Battery capacity, you’ll need to start with a dead battery in order for this to be relatively accurate

This last item is a must if you need to determine if your battery is taking a full charge. As an example, if a battery is rated at 3000Mah and the monitor shows its only taken 2100Mah worth of current but shows full, then the battery is no longer able to be fully charged and probably why your battery hungry phone won’t last all day on...

Andrew Falconar: This is an excellent product for monitoring the charging rates to two devices through their different charging cables/plugs, and to optimally direct small solar panels towards the sun for maximum outputs! I've now bought many of these DROK meters because they are so useful for my different devices, and are great gifts to give to your friends!

This little unit is perfect for checking both the amps and volts simultaneously delivered to two devices (plug in one device (port 1) and record the amps drawn, then plug in the second device (port 2) and subtract the total amps drawn by both devices from those drawn by the first device).

Port 1 is for both charging and data transfer, while port 2 is for charging only!

I have both the AboveTek and DROK meters which appear to be identical (both were not labeled with the company name, but now DROK has added their name to this product). Both meters show volts and amps in bright digital LED red and blue, respectively, and measure a wide volt and amp range. I now use these all the time to monitor the charge voltage and current of all of my devices to ensure the optimal charge rate. There is no switch to show the volts and amps...
