rullian: Pretty simple product. Works well with the Nektar midi controller

breckin: It has worked exactly as it should the past few years with my 49-key Nektar keyboard. It's a plug-n-play pedal that has the strong weight and resistance a keyboard pedal should have for this price range. Super impressed with it! I also remember dealing with customer service because it never showed up after a week or two, and that process was a breeze.
I wish it would have come with a Nektar keyboard instead of being sold separately. However, that doesn't affect my score and I'd still recommend it to someone who has a Nektar keyboard.

Smith RodriguesSmith Rodrigues: Hard solid sleek metal body with thick rubber padding. If you are looking for a good premium quality Sustain Pedal which you plan to use for many years then this is a good choice & an good investment. The pedal doesn't make any noticeable clicking noises. As mentioned it has a polarity switch so it's compitable with all keyboards.
Remember this is not a Expression Pedal. It is a basic sustain pedal and sends On/Off signals to the keyboard. It cannot be used as a volume controller or expression control. But it can be used to trigger certain functions on your instrument.
*For example: If I plug the pedal into the "Assignable" Input of my KORG PA , I can use it to trigger Style ON/OFF or Change sounds etc. If I plug the pedal into the "Damper" Input, the pedal works as basic sustain.
So altogether it's a premium sustain pedal nothing more nothing special !
You can buy cheaper low quality sustain pedals that do the same thing if you don't have a budget to buy this one.

Darshan McMahon: Works well, solid metal build should be gig worthy, good size, I have used it as a piano expression pedal as well as a MIDI trigger to start my looper in Ableton, I was considering attaching to my pedalboard, the bottom is just a rubber pad you could easily replace with hook and loop tape.
Only thing that may be a pro or con depending is the cable is attached and only 6 foot long. This may be convent for some to not have to worry about needing an extra cable if you are using as a sustain pedal with a keyboard 6 foot should be appropriate.... However if you want to use this to trigger MIDI (eg: to loop a bass or guitar ) you may want to place it further then 6 foot from your controller in witch case you will be tethered to your controller and may not be ideal for stage.
I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars because of the length limitations, but the product is good and works as advertised so I'm going 5 I would just prefer it if you could use your own cable of choice.
With all that said I also purchased the M-Audio version and they are IDENTICAL with the exception of the brand name on the rubber!!!

Tytton Elkins: For the price, this is exactly what I wanted and was expecting. Its well built, not too light not too hard to press. I have to get used to it being a slight bit harder to press than my old one since I’m used to the piano style sustain pedals but that’s just a personal problem. It does come with a polarity switch for those wondering.
Edit: So it’s been a little over a year sense I wrote my first review of this product, so I feel I’ve gotten a better feel and understanding of it now. I’m completely used to the feeling of pressing the pedal down, so that feels good. My only real complaint about the pedal after using it for a year is, not even 3-4 months of using it, I already had problems with it not functioning every single time I pushed it down. This is incredibly frustrating because it forces my brain to always second guess whether I’m actually going to get a sustain or not, and that’s just one other thing I’m having to think about while playing. I’m sure there is a quick fix for this, but I believe a good product is one where the consumer shouldn’t have to fix it every 3 months 🤷🏻♂️
If I could go back and buy a slightly more expensive...

Lucia C.: My daughter has been using it almost every day with her Yamaha electric piano for more than a year and the pedal has been working flawlessly all this time.
And it probably will continue working well for many years to come.

Joe: I first bought the NP-1, since I needed a sustain pedal for my Alesis VI-49. It works great but it's really light and goes sliding all over the place. It really works better as an ON/OFF switch and not something to be articulated. It also takes some decent force to press down, so I found myself using the ball of my foot rather than my toes. The construction is really solid, though, so I'm confident in Nektar's quality. The NP-1 just doesn't have much of a use right now in my setup, but I'll keep it around just in case.
So I went ahead and picked up the NP-2. This is a GREAT no-nonsense pedal. It's nice and hefty and stays in place even on the short pile rug beneath my desk. Nice durable rubber pad all along the bottom. I can't speak to the lifespan of the pedal as I've only had it for 24 hours, but my first impression is that it will last a long time. And hey, it's $20 bucks. If it breaks I'll just get a new one.
(The big NP-2 also has a polarity switch, which the little NP-1 lacks. I can make the little one "work" as a sustain pedal but I have to power up my keyboard in a certain way to get the right polarity. Having a switch just gets rid of that minor headache,...
