N/A: This is the perfect solution for maintaining a perpetually stable environment within an aquarium or indoor grow enclosure for example. Using this timer I've been able to set a humidifier to come on for 2 minutes every 30 minutes 24/7 and it works great. The only thing I would like to see improved is a more clear instruction manual for settings. Oh, if it was free I guess that would be an improvement too!

T. Anderson: I bought this timer to operate a UVC with Ozone lamp, and I found it was very easy to set as long/short a period for "on" and "off" as I desired -- seconds, minutes, hours. You can also easily set it to run days only, nights only, and all day/night.

Jak138: As a cycle timer for a sump pump it is doing excellent. However, I deducted 1 star because it filled with water when left out in rain (it was not submerged in any way). I was able to open and dry it without damage, but that is important. The instructions are a little confusing, but after playing with the controls for a few minutes its relatively easy to set up. Still well worth it for the price in my opinion, just dont leave it exposed outdoors.

Nicholas KosanovichNicholas Kosanovich: This timer really has a lot of great functionality once you take some time to learn how to set it up.
It does not have a standard clock setup but instead you go through different steps to select minutes versus hours, number of each, etc.
It's really helpful that there are so many options such as dawn to dusk, repeating time cycles and a ability to set countdowns.
Also the input plug is flush so if you have a wide plug you need to put into the timer, there shouldn't be interference.
One note is that the plug output isn't straight so you need to make sure that either your outlet isn't recessed or that you can use the top outlet and not have anything in the bottom outlet.

shane Campbell: This is by far the best timer i have purchased. You can program up to 19 on off events in a 24hr period. Easy to program just remember to press the confirm button after programming.

Anon: I know how to set times on this thing, no thanks to the opaque instructions, and have several times successfully set up sequences of more than ten on off events.
However, during programming, this timer regularly gets into a funk in which, when I press the confirm button to finish programming, it goes into on mode with the outlet powered rather than off according to the program, and nothing that I have figured out so far restores the off state that it should be in according to the program. Once in this funk, it remains turned on no matter what I do. The only cure seems to be a reset, which starts the entire programming sequence over from scratch. I have also fiddled at length to try to figure out what triggers this funk, but so far, I have not managed to generate the behaviour deliberately.
This behaviour is a huge pain in the ass because programing more than a few events is time consuming. Repeatedly finding that you need to reset and start over from the beginning for no detectable reason is not acceptable. There is some sort of programming bug in this thing, and it needs to be fixed.
If I had a decent alternative, I would return the thing, but since I don't,...

Andre Dumas: Excellent timer with accuracy to the seconds, for instance I needed a timer to switch a mister for precisely 36 seconds at precisely 30 to 45 minutes intervals 19 times a day from 6:30 am to 9:00 pm every day of the week. These are hard to find.
