GustavoGustavo: Este es un perfecto rascador y protector, si tu gato se la pasa arañando la esquina veras que es la opción ideal. Lo coloque sobre mi sofá y mi gato siguió rascando en la misma superficie aun cubierta. La parte blanca es como de cuerda tejida esta super buenisima, y ya llevo con el dos años desde su compra, estoy valorando mucho comprar uno nuevo porque ya para estos dos años ya sabrán cuanto uso le dio mi gato. jajaja ya lo recorrí un poco y pues supongo que solo lo usare un poquito mas y ya comprare otro nuevo. Y DETUVO LA DESTRUCCION DE MI SALA :( pero si ando triste por no haberlo comprado desde antes pues le saco varios hilos a la tapicería y debo aprender a restaurar con puntos.

CrystalCrystal: Bought a left side for the right side back. This only works if you have a gap between the arm and back to slide velcro threw. Easy installation. I was torn teaching my cats it's ok to scratch with this but heck they were doing it anyways Despite the clear protection I had on it. Now I don't freak out even though that spot almost has a hole. Atleast it covers it up. Velcro is strong. The wraps around the legs are super easy and hold well. Time will tell if the material holds up to scratches (I have 4) . So far I love it and they do too.

LotsaPetsLotsaPets: It definitely does the job - our kittens scratch it all the time. Light gray matches our couch almost perfectly, so it’s not an eye-sore. I was having trouble securing it with the attached ties though, but eventually managed to wrap them tightly around front legs. The back ones are just not long enough, so they were dangling, and the kitties kept chewing on them. I just sewed those ends to the couch with a rounded apholstery needle which helped… somewhat. I might try apholstery pins like one of the reviewers did, because cats don’t use it when it’s loose and wobbly. Also, the very tip of the armrest is not protected. It’s an enticing area for scratching, so it would be nice if there was enough material to cover it up. Hope the manufacturer can improve the product a little.

Shay N.Shay N.: My cats had torn a hole in my couch by always scratching at this spot so I bought this to both hide the hole and give them a proper place to do their claws. It works great and they use it quite often so I’d say it’s very useful and solves my issue.

However for my couch I couldn’t use the leg ties because of the type of legs my couch has and because of the width of the arm do the couch. Since I knew that beforehand I bought separately some furniture twist pins (i think that’s what they’re called) to attach it to the arm better, which worked great. I would recommend getting some anyway just to really keep it on the couch and as an extra measure. Just keep that in mind.

But other than that this works great and solves my problem but it really fit only a certain type of couch, which is why I knocked off a star.

Gata albinaGata albina: The media could not be loaded.  Hace más de medio año que compre este rascador esquinero de sofás. De hecho, compré dos rascadores esquineros, uno para el lado izquierdo y otro para el derecho, ya que tengo una disposición en linea de sillón, sofá y sillón.

Hace unos 7 meses adopté un gato abandonado que estaba enfermo y empezó a tomar la manía de afilarse las uñas en el sofá, por lo que había que actuar deprisa, antes de que lo rompiera. Por ello, le compramos, entre otras cosas, estos rascadores para el sofá.

Lo cierto es que después de medio año, casi hemos conseguido que el gato siempre vaya estos rascadores esquineros si tiene la necesidad de afilarse las uñas. Ha costado mucho ya que no había manera de enseñarlo. Al final de la opinión te indicaré los trucos que hemos usados nosotros para a enseñar a un gato rebelde a usar el rascador de sofá. Ahora empecezaremos ha valorar el producto en sí...

- Puntos positivos:

a) Es muy robusto: Es un rascador muy duro y resistente. Cuando lo sacas de la bolsa ya ves que es muy recio y te va a durar toda la vida. Probablemente cambies de casa antes que de estos rascadores...
