Jean-Pierre Mahé: Great recipes but paid $40 Cdn for a used book with several pages dog-eared but in relatively good condition. Annoyed that the binding had a price tag of $1.99. Feel swindled.

M. S. Fenton: I like Nadiya and most of her recipes are fun and delicious. This book is not the "cook a quick meal" guide I expected. The recipes are interesting. My big complaint is that British measurements and American measurements are not the same so one has to convert quantities into U.S. equivalents. This is annoying and I find myself marking up the book with the U.S. equivalents. Also, I find I have to look up some of the ingredients to find out what they are because the British nomenclature is not the same as the American. You can actually spend more time on the paperwork and translation effort than the actual preparation and cooking. The good news is that once you do this for a recipe, the next time you are ok...and, the stuff tastes good. I still like Nadiya...a lot!

chancytejana: To set eyes into Nadiya's Family Favorites is to step into the home of a loving mother who happens to have a razor sharp mind for the art taste and smells of food love. I'm still not sure if I'm in love with her food, her family, her gorgeous self or all the above. Somewhere in the back of my mind I find myself really believing if I can u defendant and duplicate Nadiya's efforts I'll have children as wondrous and a face as beautiful as her own because the food is telling me so. Who knew eggplant could sing and carrots favorite with tomatoes? Nadiya did. Nadiya does. She knows a lot of other wonderful music food can make and happily shares it with you. This isn't t a cookbook, it a series of life lessons brought from Great Britain and more exotic locations to show you how complex food can be while cooked simply. There is no smoke, no mirrors, but pure magic that dazzles nonetheless. Her use of prunes a!one signals a symphony of flavor my family didn't recognize, and they GROW prunes.

I look forward to the more to come implicit in Nadiya's smile and to see how soccer goes for her boys and if her daughter ever develops a sweet tooth, as Nadiya's family is every bit as engaging...

aminordimaminordim: These recipes are a lot harder than Nadiya's time to cook and remember they are in metric! They also have some weird ingredients that arent necessarily in your cupboard. I still like the book tho and will continue to improvise using this as a guide for some creative new ideas I would never have thought of otherwise. My attempt at the Mocha Swirls was received well by my family!

Jan Red: I love the recipes. She uses her native spices in these flavorful dishes. They are helping me discover new combinations and flavors! I highly recommend them. She also has a show on Netflix that is fun to watch!

Karen Nelson: Tried her books but I don't seem to capture the feel of her finish dishes. On tv yes but not at home. Have several of her books. What am I missing here.
