Patrick T Parks: I paper patch 45-70 cartridges, and they are longer than standard cartridges, they are also a little more fragile, they need to sit bullet end up. This cartridge box works well, , it holds them securely, and is tall enough without being too tall.

The moulding is clean and the thickness is decent to be sturdy enough. The clasp is very positive, easy open and close. The hinge is also adequately made and runs all the way across.
It can accommodate 338 Lapua with bullet facing up or down. However, if placed with bullet facing down they may wobble somewhat.
I also advice buying the foam liner that fit under the lid to cushion the tip of the bullet. MTM Case-Gard sells them under (FL-1-42) product code name. Or, any thin foam you can get and tailor for your case will do!

Luc Voyer: I had the older model with the plastic strip at the back that kept on cracking in cold temperature. This new model with the hinges is 100% better.

SuperNova: I ended up buying three of these. They are a wonderful price for the quality. They fit my 338 Lapua Mag shells with ELD bullets no problem. Very durable and they look great. Finally I don't have to retrofit my old boxes to make them fit.

Ian: It fits 338LM (THANK-YOU!) and works well. The only thing I don't like is that it's supposed to have a bullet protector end but really that doesn't work and just makes the bullets sit offside. It's pretty minor but a mild design change would make this work as described.
