Hijinx1812: I’d originally bought this grinder at a garage sale years ago and used it every day. That one stopped working after years of service. I was ecstatic to learn that this grinder was still in production and immediately bought a new one.
What I like about it: it’s compact, allows multiple grind setting, tailors the grind to how many cups it’s set at, and the price.
What I don’t like: it’s noisy and sort of difficult to clean.
All in all, it’s a great grinder for the price. If this one lasts as long as the old one, I’ll gladly buy it again when the time comes!

Kiprock: THis is a nice grinder. I've owned many and am picky about them. First of all, I was surprised that this grinder has a lot of fancy lights and buttons to achieve the desired grind. This would be great if you didn't have to hold down the grind button the entire time while grinding. Seems kind of useless to have those grind setting buttons if you cant start the grind and let it finish on it's own.
Second, the grind bowl can be hard to clean, but the grinder has a nice rotating scraper that helps you get most of the bottom grinds out. I didn't realize this for the first few weeks. It's a great feature.
Mostly, I like that the grinder is low mess. I'm replacing a quisinart burr grinder that looked nice but made a huge mess. Recommend.

Sharon H: This purchase replaced my identical grinder that was at least 15-20 yrs old and was used daily for grinding coffee beans. I was so pleased to find a replacement on Amazon. It’s a great design, easy to clean and totally dependable. Looks good sitting on the counter. A bit noisy, but grinding beans is a noisy business.

Token: We used one of these at a holiday house we rented, and liked it so much we had to have one. It grinds coffee perfectly, let's you choose the amount and fineness, no need to time it or think hard during those difficult morning hours. Pretty easy to clean...the only part that gets 'dirty' can go in the dishwasher. Great for the money. It's a little noisy...the only criticism I can think of.

Michael: This is a very simple and easy-to-use coffee grinder! While the grind is nowhere near that of a burr mill grinder, it does its job. I use a 4-cup machine and I find that 2 scoops of beans on the 4-cup setting and at a medium coarseness works very well. I've worked in the coffee business and managed coffee shops, so I've had my hands on everything from $10,000 burr mills to $20 common retailer models. Some of the gripes I've read on here were:
- Settings
- Maintenance & Cleaning
Settings: This grinder has 3 buttons: brewing size, coarseness, and grinding. The reviews on here showed frustration for it not saving the setting you prefer but how frustrating is that really? It defaults to 6-cup at a medium grind, and I have to cycle through to 4-cup. It takes maybe a second to tap the button 3 times. Done. Press the top grind button and hold until the machine automatically turns off. Easy. You do more work starting your car or making cereal. For those who buy beans at coffee shops: the "fine" setting spits out a #3-4 grind which is good enough for most espresso and moka pots, the "medium" does a decent #7 for drip, and "coarse" provides a good #13-14 coarseness good...

M. P.: I've had this grinder for about a month, and I'm impressed. The last time I ground my own coffee was about ten years ago. I had a blade-type grinder back then too, but it was the old design design, where only the lid came off. The blades and grinding-chamber were built into the motorized base. It was necessary to flip the thing upside-down to get the grounds into the lid/cup. Then, when I'd separate the lid from the base, some portion of grounds would always escape onto the counter. It was so messy and difficult to clean that it wasn't worth grinding my own coffee. This new design seems to work quite well. I have yet to make a mess with the coffee grounds. After grinding the beans, I twist the chamber to remove it from the motorized base. I flip up the lid and pour the grounds into my coffee maker. There is even a built-in component that sweeps the edges of the chamber to dislodge the grounds so I don't have to bang on it to get them out. To activate the sweep, I simply twist the container while pouring the grounds into my coffee maker. After all this, I twist the lid to remove it from the container and tap everything on the edge of my sink to release any lose remnants. All the...
