Monica L.Monica L.: My 8 yr old needed to make a nest for a school project. We were going to cut some grass outside but we wanted something that we could keep around after she brings it home. We chose the brown/tan moss over the green. We used a paperplate as a base that we formed into a bowl using tape. The moss was glued all around. We added some other details but the texture of the moss makes it look the most like a nest. The moss held nicely with elmers and hot glue. There's a slight smell that goes away after a few days. Nothing bothersome. It's very dry which is what I wanted. It can be a bit tricky to pull apart when only small amounts are needed. I plan on using the left over for other projects. Very pleased with this product and plan to order more to keep in my crafting closet.

Ellen Finkelstein: This made such a mess! Definitely use it outside or in your sink. It all sticks together so you have to pull it apart to get the amount you want for a pot and when you do that, it shreds all over.
But it looks good and it's natural, which is what I wanted.

PSS: The 1st bag I bought looked clean and was light beige in color so I bought a 2nd bag. A+
This bag of moss is darker and looks dirty. It does not match at all to the first bag of moss.

Jeffrey GroveJeffrey Grove: I took dried sage exterior latex paint and put some in a large zip-lock plastic bags. I separated the moss a bit and placed it in the bag. I mixed the paint all through the moss and when removed and dried made the perfect color of southern gothic moss having from the branches.

Christine B.: It's Spanish Moss. Anyone who works with it knows it's messy, but the end result is usually worth the clean-up. This is nothing out of the ordinary as far as Spanish Moss goes, but the bag is pretty large and the price-point is excellent for the amount you get. Definitely a product I'd purchase again without hesitation.
