Works exactly as described, be sure to set the inner pieces perfectly or it will not brew, this is a little more work than with a standard unit. The brew is smooth and strong with the right measurements. The built in filter is fine all on its own. I purchased a permanent filter based on reviews but so far have not had reason to use it. Disadvantages are no auto shut off and no pouring mid perk, decide beforehand how important those features are to your morning routine.
Overall a good buy for me.

Amazon Customer: Out of all the various coffee makers I've had over the years, I'm back to the percolator. This coffee pot is beautiful and doesn't take up a lot of space. No need for filters as the basket is uniquely made. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it is not programmable as stated in the description. That would have been exceptional but I'm still satisfied. Good coffee again!

Just make sure to use coarse grounds.

Part of why I invested in a percolator is because I don’t want plastic involved with anything I consume. I had assumed the lid handle would be glass. Sadly it is plastic and the hot water shoots up inside while brewing. But I guess that is better than an all plastic drip coffee maker so despite that disappointment it is a nice upgrade as I transition away from using plastic.

SukeyZ: I love everything about this. Just brewed coffee for the first time. Out little 4-6 cup electric coffee pot is wonderful, just have to make a second batch . THIS one makes enough for two good sized cups for myself and hubby; and will make more if we have company. It does not need filters as we use COARSE ground coffee......VERY pleased it is stainless steel inside as are the basket etc. Had to convert measurements for out needs as a Standard Coffee cup measurement is 5oz, vs what I think of as at least 8oz as a cup! Got it figured; and highly recommend this, with auto shut off + warming function. SIMPLER the better

Lesha Kokosky: This coffee percolator makes fabulous coffee in record time. It looks very good on the counter and the purple finish does not stain or tarnish at all. The one problem is the tight fitting lid. If I push it down to close it, I just can’t open it without struggling and wiggling the top off.
As a result, even after pushing in the lid tabs on the rim, I do not push the lid down fully.
Care must be taken to hold the lid cap when pouring the coffee.

Hollie Peterson: Everybody’s comments on the spout are correct. The advertised picture with the long curved spout is not what you get. It’s a short, fat spout but the colour is pretty. Makes great coffee. Easy to clean and care for.

CurtisCurtis: The media could not be loaded.  I bought this percolator, primarily because of the glass knob on the lid, the positive reviews, and I should admit, the purple colour.

Pros:
- I like the glass knob. Replacing a aged Cuisinart percolator with this one, and it had a plastic knob on the lid, that we ended up replacing twice before the percolator itself failed.
- Easy to use, easy to clean. Coffee is decent, but I'm still playing with water/coffee quantity to see if I get it strong enough. Max water, max grounds and we find the coffee a little watery.

Cons:
- As some people have noted, the image shows a goose-neck, and the model I received has a straight spout. I'm not sure why that is. I didn't realize it right away. When I took it out of the box, I was struck with a sense of "hmmm ... that's not as nice as I thought it was going to be" but I couldn't put my finger on it until I went back to the pictures. Not exactly a deal breaker, but annoying.
- The listing also says "copper body", which I found intriguing. It's clearly stainless steel from the photos and other parts of the description, but still sort of another red flag.
- The keep warm function...
