MotoHokie: This square fits nicely on top of a SawStop fence between the faces. I use it whenever I adjust back to 90° after a miter cut.

Samuel Johnstone: I did the typical check for square on this item. I made a knife line, flipped the square 180° and checked if the knife line matched. One usually pays top dollar for precision. It's for carpentry, not machining, but it's surprisingly accurate. Perfection is paid for. This is the next best option; close enough to be very high quality.

R Jordan: I purchased a cheaper square before this one and was really disappointed, but what can you expect from a square that's $10. Still, I thought it might be good enough. The edges were rough, some burr on the edges etc. Anyway, this review is not about the bad one but about this one.

I decided to pay a little extra in the hopes of better quality, considering my occasional usage and the fact I'm not building a space ship, I didn't want to spend the money on high accuracy name brands that are closer to $100.

I took a chance on this one because the price was still reasonable and by now, my expectations were lower, oh my what a surprise. It's a beautiful tool, all surfaces are clean and ground, perfectly square based on the tools available to me to check.

I like it so much, that now I'm ordering other sizes. I guess I had to try the bad to appreciate the good.

Christopher: As well as I can ascertain, the 4” version demonstrates true right angles. The heft and material are pleasing, reassuring- though there are blemishes in the form of scrapes near the elbow that appear to be from the press used to join the two arms. The 4” size is perfect for my application- checking product and settings of wood working tools; while cutting and planing, being able to comfortably stow the square safely in pocket is invaluable, making for a tool I constantly employ instead of a tool I just own on a shelf.

I look forward to the possibility of adding a larger sibling for assembly work.

Cliente de Amazon: Leí referencias sobre esta escuadra, así que la adquirí. Una compra excelente, cuando necesite otra compraré esta nuevamente, o alguna otra de la misma marca. ANtes de utilizarla la comparé con una escuadra de matricero más cara, quedé completamente satisfecho. La segunda prueba fue ajustar la mesa de lijado de mi Proxxon 37060 Disc Sander TG 125/E , el resultado fue fantástico.

1: Bastante precisa para su precio.

CONS:
2: para ciertas actividades La parte corta de la escuadra me parece muy gruesa.

phineas: No, it's not a Starrett. I heard that that revered manufacturer of squares and many other measuring devices had gone offshore with its manufacturing, at least for combination squares. Besides, Starrett's gear is very expensive. So I began to look around. Several other reviewers had praised this one. I took a chance on it. It's accurate, alright. I've tested that several times and it passes the test every time. I used it to align my brand-new Bosch miter saw, which surprisingly arrived more than a degree off. Now the saw cuts straight and true. Something to note: this is a measurement tool for making, checking or adjusting other tools. It's not meant for measuring and preparing cuts for wood (for that you'll want a combination square). There are no measurement marks on this square.
