The box they came is cheap and was destroyed when delivered and the squares were in a bag inside knocking around instead of secured. The smallest square is "square" but the base piece is actually cut on an angle, and almost looks like it was done by hand. 3 stars cause they are functional but you get what you pay for with these for sure.

William R.: An Accurate, hefty set on squares. However, the box is a POORLY MADE THING. Squares were packed individually with lots of packing grease. Hopefully this doesn’t mean they’ll corrode in the future.

KyleKyle: 3/4 of the squares were square, the four inch was pretty far off though. Not only did they arrive in an incredibly crude, cheaply made box, they were also absolutely filthy, despite being individually wrapped.
After cleaning them up with a scotchbright and coating them in good ole Mystery Oil the surface finish seems ok, but nothing to write home about. I checked the squares against a precision ground block, and the three that were on square were actually pretty close, not even a light gap from what I could see. Square on both sides too, though the six inch did have a rounded corner on the bottom. It will work for my purposes, and they were cheap.
Usable, yes, mostly. Giftable... only if you want the giftee to think you hate them. The presentation was terrible, after all.

BryanBryan: Arrived fast and well packaged in side a box which also has each square inside its own box's and sealed in bag with oil....good price and my 2 cents is I think it's well made for the price, for the DYI'er these will be great. I use then for table saw, jointer, miter saw...ect...ect. and remember folks all reviews are a hit and miss really depends on if the person making said item had a good or bad day at work. We all been there at some point so always give a 2nd chance if 1st item is bad. Ok peace out😊

Amazon Customer: Très bien pour le prix. Difficile de donner une mesure très précise, faute de posséder un outils d'étalonnage certifié. Mais tout semble très précis. Ils sont tous homogènes.

Jodi BJodi B: Mostly accurate. They're fine for wood. Some of the squares are straighter than others. The outsides are fine, but some of the straight edges aren't perfectly parallel. These were the only stainless ones on Amazon. A case would have been nice, but then it would have been a couple bucks more.

JnAJnA: These came oiled and individually packaged, each sealed in plastic in a small box, with all four in a larger box. The larger box provided enough protection that i saw no damage that appeared to be a result of of shipping due to poor packaging. The box was in a flimsy Amazon bag, but was taped shut and undamaged. The squares are in fact square as near as I could measure (my caliper setup is limited to minimum of .001" over the length of the blade and stock, protractor to .01°). They're good enough that I can use them as a reference for my other squares and for power tool setup.

My one complaint would be a few apparent dings on the corners of some blade edges (see pictures). They were small, enough so that I could file them off with an extra fine needle file. The blades still have straight edges, though there might be a small impact if used with a marking knife or precision scribe. Mostly I don't feel like it matches the description on the box of "finely ground" or "highly accurate". I'm sure it's a result of handling after fabrication, but they should know as well as anyone that handling can have a much bigger impact on final quality, no matter how precisely machined.

Martin PolitickMartin Politick: I use them with Steel (fabrication) and Wood in my home work shop.
They are as accurate as I can measure. I measured / compared them to my Starret square and all angles seem at 90 degrees inside and outside with no play that I could see (Third picture). You can also see the pictures where I have them all touching and there is not gap.
They each have a nice mass, they feel good in my hand when I'm using them. They are :
236 g for the 6"
115 g for the 4"
91g for the 3"
70 g for the 2"
They rust fairly easy once you remove the gummy oil they come with. In the last picture you can see my finger print in rust after a week of use. Yes it's surface rust so you can just wipe it off with your finger nail, but it would be nice if they could surface treat them. Although I like that they don't stay pretty so I don't mind using them around the shop. They are moderately easy to scratch.

But all in all, for 43 CAD, it's great value and a great addition to my home shop. I use them all the time, they hang around my work bench an bit all over because I use them a lot.

Joseph: I was pleasantly surprised with this set of machinist squares. They are very well packaged and sealed in plastic bags. No case is included but at this price how could anyone complain. There is plenty of oil on them as others have mentioned but I see no reason to complain for something that protects the tools and is easily wiped off with a rag. I promise there are worse protective options used. I bought a set of chisels on Amazon that arrived with a lacquer type protection on them that was darn near impossible to remove even using acetone, lacquer thinner, etc.

On to what matters. Are they square? Well, in my case three out of four were square. The larger 6" square was off by about 0.003", which is pretty bad and the reason I returned the set. I may buy this set again to have an inexpensive second set on hand. I have no doubt that it is possible to receive a set in which all four are perfect, which judging by the reviews is more common than what I received.

I measured the squares against a Kinex DIN 875/1 machinist square and a set of 1-2-3 blocks. I used my cast iron table saw as a flat surface and also my jointer bed. All four squares were as square as I could...
