LorLor: Most important: This fits an existing MOEN 4-way faucet pipe. If you don't have a MOEN in your wall, you'll need to also buy that part (which is beyond most DIY'ers to install - should be professional).
It fit mine quite well.
PROs:
-I found this easy to install with a screwdriver, allen wrench, pliers, and some plumber's tape.
-The faucet is a slide-on type, which was perfect. Not sure if it converts to a threaded screw-on, but many do.
-Looks very nice. Kind of a unique speckled bronze feel, but I think it still pairs well with my other bronze fixtures.
CONS:
-No plumber's tape or allen wrenches included. Simple but necessary items.
-Wall plates are plastic, but with a nice metallic shine. Probably for the best, as they can't rust.
-Handle sticks out from the wall almost an inch, which is annoying, but I was prepared for that after reading the other reviews. Check out the pic. Not too big a deal, I guess.

crubi004crubi004: So it is metal, that had been a concern of mine, but everything (tub spout, handle, plate, shower arm) was metal. Hopefully it doesn’t spot up too bad. Easy to install as well, only trouble I had was removing the OLD shower arm (ugh!). Watch some DIY videos, it’s not so bad.
As for the handle sticking out and not being “as pictured” like some complain about...look at your current Moen handle, can you see any of the cylinder with the top square notch that is between the handle and the plate on the wall? THAT is how the new handle will be too. It had nothing to do with this particular set, it is how the valve is installed in your wall. For the money this is great because buying the separate pieces is way more.
Our bathtub’s overflow plate requires two screws and I couldn’t find a Moen one so I bought a different brand with the drain set, as well. I will be pairing this with the nickel version of the current shower head we have, it is a handheld and hooks on with a magnet (very nice) ~$45
Updated...i lowered it to 3 stars. I read a review that mentioned the tub spout being way darker than the plate/handle and now I notice it on mine too. It can not be...

Kenzie: Okay so I cannot comment on how easy it was to put on, my brother is a plumber and I had him install it for me.
The Temperature control is another item that I cannot comment on yet, because I have not used it, as I just purchased my home and we have not moved in yet.
What I can say is that its BEAUTIFUL. It looks even better in person. It elevated the appearance of my entire bathroom. I looked at several others and this by far was the best price. i wanted a set that did not come with a shower head because i wanted to pick my own, customizable shower head. So many others online came with a shower head and were much more costly. I could not be more pleased.

Louis P.: I bought this kit to replace my original chrome 22 year old Moentrol Posi-temp plate and handle, and to match a remodel that switched to brushed nickel. Most of the replacement kits sold in the big box stores are not OEM (i.e. Danco), and don't always fit as advertised- plus they're way too expensive. This trim kit is genuine Moen, fits like the original, and is a lot less expensive considering you get a spout and shower arm/escutcheon. And there is not any metal-looking plastic in the kit, it's all metal. I'm not sure if this kit has the patented Moen LifeShine coating, but the instructions suggest applying a coat of automotive wax, which I strongly recommend before first use. I use the new generation 'hydrophobic' type wax (Meguiar's) on all my plumbing fixtures and surfaces exposed to water. It's makes clean-up a snap and no hard water stains. The spout is very heavy versus the cheap ones you'll find elsewhere, but it does stick out a little further, maybe an 1.5" more. All-in-all. this is a great deal on the real deal.

This is getting 1-star until I can get the parts this should have come with. There is a tiny set screw in the tub spout to tighten the spout against the copper. It was missing entirely. Also, the rubber seal that keeps the diverted from backwashing all over the wall was torn through and water gets everywhere. If Moen wants to make this right and send me replacement parts I may upgrade the review, but otherwise, stay away from this product. QA is terrible
