June: I bought this for my front door. I was looking to paint my white door black. It looks great but it took me going over it four or five times to get the right coverage.

EDBEDB: I only used 2/3 of one jar for 2 coats on my front door. It dries quickly and evenly. The color is very rich-it looks like an entrance to a museum or cathedral. Definitely recommend.

Nicoleb: You get a lot of paint in this one jar! I purchased the green and it didn’t take more than two coats to cover my bright orange door. Very impressed with how quickly it dried and very happy either the end result of my front door! I even have half the jar to save for touch ups.

SDMCSDMC: I was very bored by my cheap, white door. But since costs of everything are skyrocketing, I wanted an inexpensive update.

My best advice is to prep prep prep. There were a few really great, detailed reviews that I found super helpful before. I really cleaned the door well, taped and put down drop cloths everywhere. I also chose to prime my door before, because it's not new and I wanted to make sure this paint applied well.

The paint is quite thick and covers REALLY well. I used a brush for the trim (as one of the reviews suggested) and also followed their suggestions for the roller choice. It was SUPER easy and dried well and then I worked on the 2nd coat. 2 coats is enough, but I might apply a 3rd, just for really intense coverage and because when I removed the tape a chip came off.

Overall I am EXTREMELY happy with this product and have TONS left over. A little really goes a long way.

All my neighbours were super impressed. Many thought we had replaced the door, and when I told them it was paint, they were blown away.

I would definitely recommend this product.

Ronald L. DayRonald L. Day: We have a pair of front doors that had been exposed to the elements for over 30 years. The doors are solid wood with oak veneer and solid oak molding. Each door is 3’x 8’ and weighs about 225 pounds. The exterior veneer started separating from the core in several spots. The inside of the doors are custom painted to match the interior of our home, and they are in excellent condition. We considered replacing the doors but the cost was prohibitive, and we could never match the custom paint job on the inside. So we decided to paint the exterior of the doors.

Due to the complexity of the project, we decided to remove the doors from their hinges, move them into my shop, and remove as much of the veneer as possible, while preserving the interior finish. Some of the veneer came off with a simple putty knife. We had to moisten the remaining veneer with a damp towel for a couple of hours and then steam it with a hot iron so we could remove it with the putty knife. Approximately 90% of the veneer was removed, and that which remained was sanded down to blend smoothly with the rest of the door.

Stephen S.Stephen S.: Soo this is the second time ordering this paint because I really wanted to try it the first time it came it was exploded all over the inside of the shipping bag this time the container was already open n there’s streaks in it at this point I’m willing to use it if someone can tell me this is normal nhasn’t bin tampered with I left a question in the question section an answer will be appreciated Edit: I ended up using the paint because after some research I realized the paint exploded because it’s water based and it’s cold out here the paint looks nice although you do need already 3 coats on a freshly primed wooden door yes I used the 123 primer but you will get a nice effect for all your hard work I just wish the seller packaged it in it a box with some insulation during the winter at least I did pay 54 Canadian dollars plus tax for a quart which I hope will be able to do 2 doors but we shall see it’s going to be close

Terrence WalshTerrence Walsh: Lovely paint. Lovely results. It was easy, too. Here's how I did it in pictures. YOU can definitely do this. I hope this helps at least a few reluctant painters. A great paint job is really all about preparation, which means assembling the right tools before you start.

TOOLS I USED:
1.  Purdy 144080310 1-Inch Angular Trim Dale Brush, X-Large
2. Artist brush, #8 Filbert, for touch-up.  Guerrilla Painter Short Handle Bristle Brush, Set of 4, Filberts
3.  Shur-Line 3700C 4-Inch Foam Mini Roller with 12-Inch Handle  Make sure your roller is for SMOOTH SURFACES. It will probably specify "doors and cabinets." The 4-inch size is perfect. The 6-inch size is clumsy for this job but it would work.
4. One zipper lock bag, sandwich size. Protects brushes between coats.
5. One zipper lock freezer bag, quart size. Protects roller between coats.
6. One zipper lock bag, gallon size. Protects paint tray between coats. A small trash bag will work if your tray is too large for a gallon bag.
7. Disposable plastic paint tray like  FoamPRO 306 Mini Roller Paint Tray, 6" . I actually reused a plastic vegetable container that previously held a pound...
