These things are a game changer!! If you do alot of hiking (which I do hundreds of miles of thru the year) and don't want to be slowed down come the icey snowy season, then these are an absolute must have!
My hiking season used to kind of come to a halt over the years in the winter due to slipping and sliding on ice, thus making it much more challenging and less of a fun venture... but with these, slip and slide no more!
The spikes on them seem to be very durable (I'd recommend not tromping on rocks and pavement if avoidable) but they've been holding up great so far! I've already done about 100 plus miles with them! They're really aggressive so regardless of the ice or packed snow, even frozen dirt etc, they dig right in for maximum traction!
The rubber or silicone or whatever the outer material is is very pliable and they're super easy to put on (just be cognizant of the marking saying front, they don't go on well if they're backwards.. lol) even popping them on standing if you're not wearing them until you're up on the trail and it starts to get icey, and they remain very pliable and not brittle in the least even when its super cold! I can attest to...

David Thach:
For about 25 ish ball park, the value does meet expectations.
I have used them for the late winter season here in SoCal. Don't laught yet, lol. I love my local mountains, with altitude comes cold and ice.
They work well. Easy to put on and take off. Durable to keep on for hard surfaces between the snow and ice patches. Easy to care for when I get home, quick rinse and dry. A quick silicone spray, left to sit before packing in to the convenient carrying case. Done and ready for next winter, assuming I don't do the human error of forgetting where I put them in the garage to store.
Another note on durability, I'm comparing ti to the cheaper ones you might see here on the Smiles home shopping network. A friend picked a cheaper version that had spikes, One outing took out 3 of the spikes on hers because they're stuck onto the rubber. The ones here are not those! The ruber on the miraco is strickly to keep tension for the chains. The spikes are actual spikes connected to the chain so they're much more durable.
If you're like me who had not used any crampons before, try these. Ease of use, durable, value priced. They quickly go on...

M. Marzella: I took my maiden voyage with these bad boys up to the top of Mt. Washington. The crampons shipped fast and came in a nice black case which is great for storage. In use, I had no issues climbing up the mountain, and the issues I had getting down weren't the fault of the crampons. I did slip a few times but it was due to wrong foot placement. The only reason these didn't get five stars is that they did not come with instructions for the velcro straps or how to put them on. I got them on with common sense, sans the straps (which probably would have helped them to stay in place).

Pretty aggressive and durable set of crampons. I initially bought these to help me maneuver a snowblower on slippery/snowy days - and let me assure you, they do the job.
These Miracol crampons come with a neat little storage case, too. It conveniently stores the cleats in an small and manageable soft-shell case. A nice bonus! They also have 'front' clearly marked on them to make installation easy.
The cleats are roughly a half inch long and provide plenty of traction on ice or hard-packed snow. You're not going to slip anywhere in those type of conditions with the cleats on these crampons.
They fit my size 12 Kamik snowboots perfectly. Many brands say that they are made for a size 12 shoe, but don't take into consideration that a size 12 snowboot is much larger than a size 12 sneaker. Miracol did. The size and fit is excellent on my snow boots.
The only downside I found - they're not too comfortable when walking on bare, hard surfaces. You can almost feel the cleats push up on the sole of the shoe. But that's only when walking on bare pavement or other bare hard surfaces - which I guess is not really a downside considering that they're...

Monica Chen: This is the third one I purchased for my daughter as we are preparing to hike in Italy in April. These are inexpensive alternatives to more name branded Micro Spikes, but they are just as effective and durable. My wife and I used them for two winter seasons on multiple hikes. We used them when there wasn't enough snow to warrant snowshoes. Not only providing great traction, they also kept our boots off the ground; hence, kept our boots warmer. They are a must if you enjoy winter hiking.
