Wow!
First of all, these are great crampons. I feel totally safe on ice and they are easy to put on.
More importantly, great customer service!
I had a small problem, emailed the company, they responded within 12 hours, and the next day I received a courier from them.
I can’t believe how quickly they took care of the problem.
I highly recommend this product and company

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I bought these crampons for a hike in case there was snow. There ended up being 5 inches of snow. This was my first time using crampons, they went on easily. There is a velcro strap you're supposed to use to secure them but it didn't even come close to going around my foot. I used them for 4 hours and they never moved so I don't feel the strap is necessary. The crampons worked great through the snow and any patches of ice, I never slipped once through straight paths, inclines or declines. So glad I bought them.

Alaskan forever:
YES, all of these types of "icers" keep you from falling on OUR icy conditions. Southeast Alaska has the most variable ice and snow conditions from late September until today at least, April 16th. (sometimes August) We keep a pair in our cars and trucks. I keep a pair attached to my backpack. We have used them on our mountains and trails here and I actually have photos of my wife and another friend behind her sliding down one of our snow covered mountains IN AUGUST, wearing these of course. We all wore these that day!!! (The previous years snow, I slid down first to show them it was safe)
These red versions do not want to stretch as far as the black rubber version, this same brand. The red compound is a little tighter. No problem, I have the XX version for my biggest winter hiking boots.
These exact versions are the ones I buy. (the black ones too) Amazon sells other name brands and the ones that several of us avoid have more cleats/teeth on the bottom. When you are looking at the different brands on Amazon CLOSELY, you will see a brand that has more spikes/teeth/cleats on the bottom, maybe 24 teeth. Look for the ones that have 2-teeth...

David Contreras: I bought them for a trip to the Arctic, nothing too extreme, just some hiking. They are incredibly easy (and quick) to put on and provide great grip. I ended up using them to walk around Tromso as the streets were pretty snowy and icy. Of course I wouldn’t use them to climb Everest but they are good enough for almost anything I foresee.

Bevie: Im sooo happy I chose these crampons and it came perfectly in time for the ice freeze Boston is experiencing right now. I live in a hilly suburban area and commute to work everyday. I was able to test these this morning. Right out the gate, I felt super secure walking on thin sheets of ice which normally would have me slipping and siding and pondering the after life. Worked amazing on steep downhill and uphill untreated driveways and sidewalks! The grips performed so well that I was able to walk and catch the bus without a hitch. I wear size 9 womens boots (in Merrell) and the Large fits so perfectly. The bag and straps come in so handy. I just toss them in the mini bag and put it in my deep jacket pockets. Super convenient! I havent used the straps because they (L) fit snugly already. Please, if you live in an area where you have to deal with black ice/ice underneath packed, snow get these and save yourself the stress and potential for injury. So cheap especially with a coupon! Thank you for the fast shipping and making these available to us clumsy city folk (lol).

Vincent Lim: Bought two pairs of crampons for our recent Lofoten, Norway trip. This crampon is simply awesome; it has very good grip on snow and especially icy surfaces. My wife and I could move around confidently without fear of falling.

Nebula: Wore them for the first time on a hike today. Started hiking on snowy, rocky incline paths without them and felt myself slipping too often, so pulled these out of my backpack and put them on. What a difference!! Soo glad I put them on. I would have turned around and cut my hike short if I had not had these. They made a world of difference. Grip was great. I was able to put these on my shoes very easily and they never moved off, nor did i have to readjust them. They stayed put. I would rate my hike moderate. Other than the great traction, I wouldn’t even know they were on. It was such a seamless transition. I don’t know how long they will last, but so happy with my first experience with them. The only issue was that stupid strap. I had read about all the issues people had with them so prepped before I headed out. Thought I had gotten it right, but when I got out on the hike and tried to figure it out, couldn’t do it for the life of me. I almost tripped on it because I didn’t know how to secure it and it came loose. They have now included instructions, so will try to do it the right way next time. It seems like a good idea to have the...

Tyler Vincent: Used it a dozen times so far over the last two weeks;
Pros: Fits both my mud and hiking boots perfectly, works amazingly well... no more worries about slipping. Excellent for winter walks, hiking and snowy/icy work environments. Reduces hazard.
Cons: If the snow isn't frozen, it can accumulate and stick to the bottom of the shoe a lot, stamping heels into the ground gets rid of it pretty fast.
The spikes on the heel slipped to the right once while wearing; no big deal. Make sure they are pulled up tight over the heel before you go out. Obviously don't wear them on linoleum or wood surfaces.
