MiLocks Electronic Digital Door Knob Lock with Keypad - TKK-02SN

Hurricane Target: Bought December 2022. Installed that month. Stopped working November 2023. Tried everything - batteries, checking connections, resetting. Nothing worked. I think the keypad on it just died or something.

Just replaced with a Honeywell.

All in all I don’t recommend this lock. Worked great when it did but once it started glitching it was all over.

Janet Sullivan: Only about 3 steps to install. Very easy to program codes. Works great.
One thing I really like about this is that the mechanism only locks the knob. You still have to twist the knob to open. Other systems use the internal motor to shoot and pull the latch (instead of you doing it) Not only does this wear the battery down a lot sooner but if there is the slightest resistance, the motor is not strong enough to move the bolt and you're stuck with a half unlocked door.
Took less than 10 minutes to install and program.

Crystal: I needed a lock to let my daycare families come and go without leaving my door unlocked all day or having to constantly let them in. I wanted a Schlage, but couldn’t justify the price. And I wanted something simple. No need for Bluetooth or additional apps. Plus, the door jambs in my 60’s house with horrible DIY repairs aren’t the best and I haven’t the time, money or energy to fix them right now.

Enter this lock.

Pros:
-Reasonable price.
-Quick and easy install.
-Very simple programming.
-Easy to use.
-Actually buttons instead of touchscreen (this works better for my truckasaurus hands).
-Let’s you know when the batteries need changing.

Cons:
-One of the locks just stopped working after a month. The batteries were dying, then the buttons just stopped working when I replaced them. And the number for customer support doesn’t help. You get directed to the website and can’t speak to an actually person.
-It is loud! The beeps are loud. The locking mechanism is loud. And because of this, the batteries die faster than I expected.
-The auto lock isn’t as fast as I’d like. It takes 5-10 seconds. For safety...

daniel mcneil: I rarely write reviews but this lock and the supplier earned their one star and I am compelled to tell you why. I installed the first lock and found it no worse or better as far as the level of difficulty as other keyless entry locks I have installed but after the install, it was all downhill. It worked for 5 or 6 cycles or about 2 days and I found that it would no longer unlock without the key. So I reset the lock and it began working again but only for a day or so. I then replaced the batteries and the lock worked on and off again for 3 or 4 days and quit altogether. It would just beep but the internal motor did not activate to lock or unlock. So I just started using the key for a few weeks and then gave it another shot. The same thing again it worked off and on again over the next few days and then just failed completely. Now I am over the 30 days that Amazon will refund the product but I call them anyway. They try to troubleshoot the lock over the phone but to no avail so they put me on hold and called the suppliers tech support who did not answer.
