Mike H: Battery is an exact replacement for the Troy-Bilt XP7000 generator. I only removed the 2 front 8mm bolts from underneath the front of the battery tray plus removed the back right. You may have to remove the control panel to get your wrench to fit on the bolts--it has 6 type 20T screws. The battery pulled right out and the new one slid in its place. It started the generator up on the first try. Not sure yet about longevity, but original lasted almost 11 years. Also, this was half the cost of a name-brand battery!

dachshundlady: Despite a few reviews saying it didn't fit, this battery was an exact replacement for my Troy-bilt 7000 generator. I did not remove the tank, only removed two bolts from the front of the battery tray and loosed the back two. The battery came right out and the new one went in. It starter the generator up immediately. Only time will tell if this last as long as the OEM that last 8 yrs. I keep the trickle charger plugged in, but it only comes on when I'm working in the garage, so it gets an intermittent charge, not on all the time.
