RayD: Fits the 12 gauge well and works well. Only complaint is you have to take the batteries out to turn it off.

Bahn: Used this to check "irons" on my A300 UP during dry fire and it was on-point. That makes it easier when I mount an illuminated optic down the road.
Found a 12GA laser bore sighter on the first try that is dependable. I did check 4 different times with slight rotation to make sure the shell's run-out is tight to dimension.
I highly recommend.

Mpo: Solid build, laser looks slightly thicker than my laser pointer but strong enough. What I didn't expect is that you have to remove the batteries to turn it off. That's "China" :) Did they forgot the switch? LoL.

Lucas: Checked zero of the boresighter by laying its case head on a flat, level surface, aimed at a point on a 3-meter high ceiling. And then rotating it on its long axis. This particular one held its laser POA dead on at that point as it was being rotated, confirming that the beam is perpendicular to the headspace. And then, I loaded it in the chamber of my Keltec KSG and closed the bolt. At 25 yards, the laser POA was also dead on with my co-witness Magpul MBUS backup sights which has a verified zero at the same distance using Brenneke 1 1/8 oz rifled slugs. I'm satisfied with this purchase. Only downside is that it does not have a power switch, which means you have to remove the batteries to turn it off. Still 5 stars since my particular unit was zeroed out of the box.

However, once at the range, the laser is not visible on target any further away than 7m in daylight. At 7m a bore sight is not needed.
I ended up sighting in the red dot on my shotgun with a buddy who spotted the vicinity of my shots.
You dont need this for a shotgun or bolt action rifle.
