Metolius Rock Climbing Holds 3D for Strength and Endurance Training

A: Initially I got these for recovering from a pulley injury, since you can hang precisely the right weight (I don't have a pulley setup) and repeat frequently (daily). This recovery was much faster than the previous time I had an injury (don't get them all that often, only twice ever over years of climbing).
Now I use them for warmups, but also for suspension training: got a piece rope, attached with basic knots and carabiners on the rock rings, and i'm holding onto the top slopers with my palm, works surprisingly well and quite cheap vs trx.

Brian D.: I was originally looking to buy a hangboard ($70+) and a pull-up bar ($50+) but I found this for a fraction of the price. I am trying to get back into climbing shape for post-quarantine and I was able to hang these in my basement. They take up minimal space and I can unhook them when I'm not using.

Pros:
Good texture
Good variety of finger pockets + jug
Less stress on elbows for pull-ups than a pull-up bar
Conditions skin unlike a wooden hangboard

Cons:
Included rope is too short for hanging from tall ceilings
Rope is slightly too stretchy for my personal preference

DL: Overall this was a good "starter" set to practice finger strength.

Pros:
Solid block of plastic and seems durable.
Provided strings are reasonably long.
High friction surface that are easy to hold onto.
The dangling holds make it more challenging for your core and shoulder muscles to hold your body still.

Cons:

Slightly more bulky and heavy than I wanted for traveling purposes (bring along a trip to hang in the hotel room? not easy to do!).
High friction surface become tough on the skin as you get stronger. Wood becomes the better choice.

Update:
after about a year and a half, I have found these to be easier on the skin after the rough surface has been worn down with use. I would say wood is still better for the skin and -- because wood is more slippery -- a better challenge. These have held up well with use. As there is higher friction, I am able add more weights without being scared of slipping off. There's a trade off to everything I guess!

Adam: I just got these in the mail a few days ago but I have already really enjoyed using them to train with. You can adjust the length of the cords they hang on to get an offset workout (or you can grasp one hand low and the other high to get a similar effect). They feel very sturdy and durable like you would expect a climbing hold to be. The different pocket sizes are great for varying the difficult of your workout. If you grab just over the top of it they rotate in slightly simulating a pretty good sloper.

There are a couple of limitations that prevented me from giving it 5 stars. First, like another reviewer mentioned, they have an odd, slightly slippery texture to them; it kind of feels like there's some residual chemicals left from the manufacturing process. Using chalk helps but it's kind of annoying. Hopefully it wears off after some use. Second, I hang them from a pull-up bar in my bedroom doorway and since it's not a very tall doorway there isn't a lot of room to deadhang on them. I know that's an issue with the space I have available not the product itself but it is a limitation: if you don't have somewhere high up to hang them then you may want to consider something...
