RobertRobert: Unpacked the parts, put it together 2 man operation on 2 separate days. MELLCOM sent 4 each Q-5 Roof Panels (2 Q5's too many). Package was short 2 each Q6 Panels. Went through AMAZON to contact MELLCOM. They wanted pictures. But the email they sent would not load the pictures into their attached files, even after I downsized them. I contacted AMAZON again and they asked MELLCOM to send the missing parts and MELLCOM agreed to send the missing parts. To date I haven't received the missing parts, and the MELLCOM has not answered my email request for a shipping tracking number. A-Z Amazon guaranty tell me I am not eligible for a refund because I have not returned the Gazebo to the Seller. But the Seller won't communicate with me to return the Gazebo. I now have Gazebo with 2 gaping holes in the Roof and I am out of luck and out over $1,600.00. Had a neighbor and nephew interested in buying this Gazebo while I built it. After dealing with this fiasco, I told them to forget it and to never buy from 3rd Party Sellers on AMAZON. I know I will never make this costly mistake again. I could have gotten the near the same thing at Sam's or Costco for a few hundred dollars more. At this point...

G. E. P.G. E. P.: We had purchased a soft top canopy for the pool deck last year for $169. That lasted 8 months. So this year I ordered the 12x14 Polycarbonate roof gazebo. I wanted the poly instead of the aluminum top to allow some day light to come through. It arrived in 4 boxes. I opened the boxes and spread out the parts and "read" the directions. I read the reviews about assembly but my wife is the mechanically inclined one of us and we weren't intimidated. The directions are mostly pictures but the parts were clearly marked which made assembly a breeze, until it was time to slide in the roof panels. That was the biggest pain in this job. It was tough to get them all aligned properly so that the end caps fit. But we muddled through it and 6 hours later, we were done. We did not work fast and my wife double checks everything, otherwise it would have taken 5 hours (with power tools). Everything fit and all the holes were in the right place. It seems really sturdy but we have not had much wind lately. We haven't had much rain either so I can't speak about that. Some reviews said it was too hot under it but I live in south Georgia and we have had some hot days and sitting under it was just fine....

Jake: You'll have to use some critical thinking skills as the instructions aren't perfectly clear on everything, especially when it comes to when you should and shouldn't tighten down screws. For example, you'll never be able to tighten the footer screws after you stand the posts upright, so you have to tighten them right away. For the rest though you'll have to keep them loose until almost everything is standing. Use your judgement to tell when you'll lose access to a screw and make sure to tighten while you still have the chance.
Seems pretty sturdy. Survived the winter storm we got just fine. (Didn't have the canvas up yet but it has straps attached to tie that down to the posts for when it's too windy.)
Seller is helpful if you need to contact them. Do it through Amazon though. The email address on the manual appears to be an old one.

Victor BurciagaVictor Burciaga: Instructions are easy to follow for me I work in construction and have all the tools to make it easy might be a little challenging for the average person. I bought two of them to make a 14 by 40 foot shade, I was able to install by myself with the use of two 6 foot and one 10 foot ladder. You will need a helper for some of the roof bolts but that can be after installation. The framing is very easy it’s the roof that’s a little tricky, the holes do line up but you need a screw driver to Aline the holes I used about 4 of them. The only bad part of the roofing is the end brackets that keep the edge of the metal roofing in place (very poor design). All in all I love the way it came out very nice gazebo and I would buy another one. I live in Los Angeles so it should be ok for our type of weather. If you live in a harsh environment might want to consider something a little more stronger but still very stable. I gave 4 stars only because of the edging support brackets on the roof.
