Meidase P50 Trail Camera (2021): 32MP 1296P Wildlife Monitoring Camera

K. Young: Takes good to very good photos. Excellent flash range. I set the motion detection to high and got a lot of empty pics with trees blowing 120’ away. No problem seeing deer 100’ away in night photos. You can zoom in on the pics and it doesn’t get overly grainy. Wasn’t hard at all to see antler detail. Great for the price. Battery life seems great so far. I put mine out about a month ago. Quite pleased with the performance.

Karen HallKaren Hall: Takes great pictures but it drained the batteries within 2 days the first set, replaced with new batteries and they lasted 4 days only taking a couple hundred pictures. Tried another verified good set of batteries and this time got 900 pictures over a 6 day period before batteries went completely dead. Getting a replacement sent and hoping it will do better. Other cameras I have last up to a couple months and thousands of pictures before needing new batteries. EDIT: Got the replacement camera and so far it is doing great! 2 weeks and batteries are still showing full. Good clear pictures.

Vster: I reached out to Meidase again as my camera had a loud buzzing noise on every video clip and they responded super efficiently. The camera cannot be fixed so they sent me a new one within days.

The reason I purchased this camera is that I belong to a Facebook wildlife group and this brand camera is what many of us use. They are usually robust and I've never heard of anyone having a problem with their camera. The pictures and video from this model are fantastic quality. I put a Scandisk card in and with video size set at 1080 and it can store hundreds of 1 minute clips. Check the maximum size disk this camera can take. I get pictures of bobcat, panther, raccoon and many other wildlife. I'm very happy with the product and the follow up customer service.

BaxterBaxter: The media could not be loaded.  Works well. Waterproof. Battery life as expected - They all drain batteries like crazy.
Very easy to operate.

Put in memory card and format it. (In Menu)
Pick photo/video sequence, length, and other features in Menu.
And turn on. Numbers count down to when its ready to record.

Moneychanger: I purchased 9 of these cameras several months ago and put them on my deer stands. So far, I have been very pleased with the quality of the cameras and the quality of the photos produced. I would have given it a 5 star except for one issue. Even though the cameras have a sensitivity adjustment (3 selections) I find that it is difficult to get the setting just right to where it will pick up the movement of a deer, but not pick up the movement of blowing/swaying grass and weeds. It is almost like you need a clear area where nothing but an animal would be moving and there are no weeds or swaying branches near by that would activate the camera. Maybe it's just something that I have to learn about when setting the cameras.
