C: The little black nubs on the end of each segment of the color make it comfortable for Zoe but this is the only way I can control her because she's so strong and she doesn't seem to mind it and she doesn't seem to mind it at all

Arbee: This will change everything for you. Your dog will be so different. Trust and believe you won’t regret this purchase . The lock on mine is a little loose but has never fail me on a walk

Al Brown: Not sure of the quality yet.

Bonnie E. Hughes: These collars are well put together and easy to size. The tip covers work well with more sensitive dogs.. But....the latches are not worthy of the collar. In fairness, I bought 2 of these in January 2021, so this problem may have been fixed. The latches were always hard to open and close. The first one broke within 2 months with relatively light use (once or twice a week on a 33 lb dog learning to walk on a leash.). The second one broke after five months of three weekly walks with a 48 lb dog who is leash trained but needs attention getting pops 4 to 6 times on each walk. I've replaced the latches and continue to use the collars. It took about 15 minutes each to get the straps apart without damage because they a wonderfully put together. I hope the company has improved the latches.

adam buchanan: Prong collars in general work but this specific one breaks easily. The part that clips is not durable. I bought it twice and they both broke.

CJ: I have had several prong collars for my dog as this is by far the worst. I have 2 Shepweilers and both of them have had the collars come off with the slightest pull while just walking. As much as I like that it goest on easily its not worth it when the prongs come apart so easily.

Punctum TemporisPunctum Temporis: I bought this one in September 2020, my previous prong collar was purchased in spring of 2010 at a pet store on the Danforth, Toronto. The new collar has lots of great features and improvements. Such as the metal clasp and double metal leash attachments, the rounded ends of the links, the rubber tips, the fabric materials used to secure the collar. My old one had none of these improvements I just listed. My service dog wore that 2010 collar up until I found this one in 2020. If they had not made so many improvements to make the collars even more safe than they already were. He would still be wearing the old one.

Carlissa V Soteras: I purchased this item to replace a prong collar I'd lost, and liked that it had a metal buckle closure that was easier to put on and take off my dog than a traditional prong collar. I think the buckle/fabric choke innovation I was drawn to might have been the reason for the collar malfunctioning.

I was walking my 50lb Shepherd mix on the sidewalk of a semi-busy street. She's not a constant puller, but will occasionally lunge at squirrels, other dogs or even a fast moving car. She jumped hard at a passing car, as she does, and the collar held strong and I pulled her back. But as another car passed and she jumped again--

THE PRONGS BURST OPEN! MY DOG ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. An approaching car stopped until I was able to get ahold of her collar. But I easily could've easily either lost my dog or she could've been killed that day because of this collar.

to be clear, two properly assembled prongs burst open when my dog lunged, and the buckle/fabric portion stayed attached to the leash. I feel it may be an inherent design flaw, but I'm no engineer.

just don't get this collar for the safety of your dog.

solasola: Wasn’t sure about this collar at first but our large dog pulled so much while walking we needed something to help. We tried a regular slip tightening collar but that wasn’t enough, she still pulled.
This collar did the trick, I can now walk her without all the pulling. It’s not perfect 100% of the time but it’s a big help for sure. We were a little worried at first it might hurt her but we did end up taking the rubber caps off and it was worth it. The collar has never hurt her and does it’s job. She is very smart and learned quickly what it’s function is.
We had to take a few links out to make it the right size for her. The directions weren’t great but we figured it out. I would recommend it for large dogs who have trouble pulling during leash time.

WritinMama: While I'm not a fan of using collars like these to train dogs, we had to resort to one for our growing pitbull. He has gotten too rambunctious and pulls much to hard for a regular collar or harness sadly. We paired this with a very durable double handled leash for walking, and so far the difference is like night and day. He does not like the slight pinching when he pulls or tries to throw what we call his "tantrums" when we don't take him where he wants to go.
Pros: helps with strong pullers, made of individual links that can be removed and added as needed depending on dogs size at time of purchase (we went with a large because he's still growing)
Cons: Even with the removable links, we can't take any more out or it will be too tight, and right now it's just a tad too loose on him and slides around when he throws a tantrum outside.
